i think the review from Matthew W on June 5 2016 is extremely harsh/unfair! So a counterpoint
i've played Stoneleigh a number of times over the years as a visitor, and at 1st, didn't like the layout (think i was stuck behind too many trees!). However, over time I've really grown to enjoy the challenge (for a mid handicapper), and even though it's not overly long (c5900 from yellows), it's not a course you can necessarily overpower due to a number of trees which are well positioned if you're offline with tee shots. It isn't the best course in the area, but i don't think it tries to be and this is reflected in the green fees, which are great value, and a warm welcome is received from the pro shop and bar.
Overall, i'd recommend Stoneleigh to anyone looking for a good value round of golf in the Cov/Warwickshire area.

Last minute #TeeOffTime slot - greens excellent but slow, fairways not great very muddy on the front nine but better on the back, I can see it being a pleasant course in the summer months. fairly slow play even tho it wasn't overly busy, @ £13 well worth a visit nice club house and friendly staff !
Layout is a bit bland ideal for newbies to the game, plenty of tree's and the dreaded winter leaf issue.

Played here many times, there are many large trees about so you need to be fairly accurate. That said the fairways are quite wide so it does give you a chance. The river Avon runs through the course but only realy comes into play on a couple of holes. The par 3 15th is fantastic. Its an interesting course and certainly worth a try.

Nice course, played 3 times and never been called through by slower players, so be prepared for a long round...also on reaching the 10th and finding groups being allowed to jump in front is very annoying.

Nice parkland layout, a good walk. Fairways in good order and rough/danger not too threatening. Greens attractive but pretty slow and rough. I enjoyed the round but would have done so more if the greens had been better
