What The Club Says

The challenging 18 hole Tantara golf course measures 6056 yards in length with a par of 71 and offers a varied landscape with its many ancient oak and sweet chestnut trees, some reputed to be 300 years old and the oldest in Europe. The 9 hole par 3 Avon course measuring 1251 yards is set in the centre of the Tantara course, challenging those players wishing to hone their short iron play. This also suits the less experienced player and is the ideal place for those who wish to learn and those who only have a limited amount of time available.

Would Play Again

Have played this course many a time and would happily play again and I enjoy coming back. There have been a few developments such as the addition of mats to tee's when the tees are out of play. They are good tee mats compared to most courses!

wonderful set of greens

despite the wet weather we have had in February, this course was open welcoming trollies, there were some pretty wet areas, especially off the fairway. The greens ran beautifully and the course was relatively busy.

Pleasantly surprised and decent variety. Busy but no hold ups and the free cart on the 16th was a nice touch.

Windy hot walk

The course was playing fast but the green had some hold in them. The blustery wind made lining up the shot difficult. It was fun although as ever some good shots spolied by the next rather indifferent ones.
