What the club says: The challenging 18 hole Tantara golf course measures 6056 yards in length with a par of 71 and offers a varied landscape with its many ancient oak and sweet chestnut trees, some reputed to be 300 years old and the oldest in Europe. The 9 hole par 3 Avon course measuring 1251 yards is set in the centre of the Tantara course, challenging those players wishing to hone their short iron play. This also suits the less experienced player and is the ideal place for those who wish to learn and those who only have a limited amount of time available.

Lovely course
We were going to play at another, reasonably close, golf course to Stoneleigh however they wanted ?66 per person for the round. I am glad that we chose Stoneleigh as it was far better, the course was in a fantastic condition and the hospitality was great. I have played there before but thought it really presented well today.Reviewer Rating

Great first round of the season
Stoneleigh was in excellent condition, if a little soft on the fairways. Despite a stiff breeze the sun kept us warm. Played as a 3 ball and completed the round in just under 4 hours with no delays and after letting a singleton through on the 8th. Highlight of the round was a chip in for a birdie on the par 3 13th after a poor tee shot. We will be back.Reviewer Rating

Great Course lovely all round honest
I play golf for the exercise, the views, the social and to push myself like most of us. I think Stoneleigh offers you this and more. It has suffered a bit from the recent dry spell but they are coping well and dealing with the dry fairways like everyone else. Honestly, the difference between the holes is brilliant they are so varied. Mature trees, hilly approaches, ditches to get over, blind holes with marker posts and an amazing down hill par 3 where a buggy is provided to get you down to the green. Phew I love this course and highly recommended that you play it. Get a course guide and go and hit some balls or get your society there to play it. Friendly helpful golf staff a lovely bar and a solid pro to advise on golf matters.Reviewer Rating

Great course
Course wasn't in the best condition but that is due to maintenance and the current heat wave conditions. Once some rains comes the course will be back to immaculate condition.Reviewer Rating

Scorched fairways
Quite a difficult one this. The weather we have had certainly hasn't helped. The fairways and tees are brown and bare. I don't think there?s much the club can do about that to be honest. The greens were abit scorched in places too but they?d tried to keep the pins on the greenest parts of the greens. One thing that was annoying was going into bunkers and being in somebody?s footprint. Rakes are provided so it's just laziness from people not using them. The layout of the course is good. They just need a couple of weeks of rain to get the course looking like it should.Reviewer Rating
