One of the more difficult courses to play, every hole has something to learn. Lakes, streams, trees aplenty, Long rough that will punish you. If you can play well here, nowhere else will have any fear for you.

Obviously the weather is really not helping the course and vkearly no water is going on it .distinct lack of sand in all the bunkers.and far too many on the course that really aren't golfers .even had a 3 ball in front of me playing out of 2 bags

Enjoyable round
My friend and have played at Stevenage many times over the years and played here in December 2021. The course has some interesting holes and is a good test of golf. The clubhouse is good and we ate there after our round. My only criticism would be the choice of fillings in the sandwiches: no cheese or prawn, for example) but we both found something we enjoyed. Horrendous Greens

Fantastic pay and play
As long as you accept that the condition of the course is never going to be as good as Wentworth then you can get on with appreciating what is a really good course. Challenging but fair with some decent long holes and excellent par 3s. All of the par 3s are great but the 17th coming when it does at the end of the round is a real card wrecker! Don't let that put you off though because by then you will have had an excellent time.Played in November after the heatwave summer laid waste to so many fairways and yet there is plenty of grass on them, unlike places like John O'Gaunt and Brookmans Park which cost three times as much and are a shambles. Save your money and play Stevenage instead.
If I ever win the euromillions multi rollover I will buy this course!

doubles match and playing to defend my title, course played well bit wet in places but they are trying to sort it out but cant with this amount of water..........well done ground staff. good game, we won. need some dry weather so course can improve and repair

considering the weather over the last few months the greens and tees are in good condition fairways are boggy in places but not to bad overal

Good driving range and nice to have a putting area as well as a chipping green. Good course.

With a little effort this course could be amazing. Greens are warn and boring, the bunkers are full of stones and too shallow and the range balls are at least 20 years old and mostly full of cracks. The staff however are exceptional with special mention going to Dex in the club shop (awesome lad) and Kev the pro.

Played a few times lately and is a nice course. Just make sure you bring plenty of spare balls though because the rough grass gets LONG!!!!

Playing much better now. Thankfully the Greens have been treated after they were damaged, when the wrong chemicals were used to treat them. The Fairways & first cut are now more realistic, so whilst this course punishes you for wayward drives, the true character of this course can now shine.
