Had a great day on a great golf course, played it many times in 2012 and always enjoy the day. Hats off to the ground staff for keeping the course in great shape, pro shop well stocked with a very friendly welcome to all. Will continue to play this course throughout 2013.

course was very playable considering the rain we have had 13th hole closed due to repair pleasent round not rushed done an dusted in 3 hrs everyone very friendly on the course mark in the pro shop always very helpfully

Played here in the rain 18/11/07, course was waterlogged and quite a few greens had surface water on them.
Was told after that the course drains very well and is the only one in the area open all year round, problem stemmed from a deluge of rainfall overnight.
However I'm going to give a good report because this course is fantastic, it is well designed and provides a challenge to all abilities, plenty of uphill and downhill shots to the greens which are expertly protected by bunkers, also good use of doglegs. The greens were in great shape considering the water and those that were dry ish were fast and true (must be a nightmare in summer

).
Irons only off the 18th tee as the clubhouse is directly ahead at 231yds.

Clubhouse inviting and friendly and food/ale first class.
£40 at weekend but due to the rain we got it for 1/2 price.
I will definately be going back.

Lovely course, layout, pro, greens .. A must visit course

Not one hole on this course is boring, every single hole has a different challenge whether thats the tee shot, the approach to the green or the green itself. Lots of dog legs and ravines to negotiate so this is not a course for high handicappers or short hitters as clearing some hazards can be 160 or 170 from the tee. The course is surrounded by huge mansions and lovely views and you never know what delight the next hole holds. In some cases finding the green is the hard part. But for ?37.50 on the fourball deal this is a bargain course. The pro shop guy was a pleasure to deal with and the members helped us out a few times on where to hit and not hit. You think the challenges are over as you near the end of the course, then the 18th arrives and you realise you cannot ever be off your game on this course if you want a good score. We will return next year with our society.

Great layout, lovely staff

Always impressed with this course and how much it makes you think and not just blast it anywhere. Pro shop chap great to chat to and helped with some issues with our booking. Its absolutely a course worth visiting, probably from May onwards to give it chance to dry out.

Great condition

Very enjoyable & great condition, especially the greens. Came from Romiley GC on reciprocal. One slight gripe, signage could be better for hole 3 , but all 6 of us came away enjoying it

Course usual good dry condition getting good release and some good distance drives Tim improving every time

Friendly club

On the day because of the recent weather it was really really wet. All the holes were open and considering the weather the course was in good nick. It's very long and a challenge. The members were very friendly
