excellent course
very tight and tricky in places, sort of course you would need to play twice as the 2nd time around you would play it differently.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 94 Handicap: 17.2)

An interesting course. Very enjoyable indeed.
I played Stamford in late February and the course was in superb condition, especially for the time of year. No mats and only 1 winter green. A challenging start to the round with some really interesting holes. You have to really think about the shot you need to play whilst on the tee. The course opens up on the back 9 but still has some tricky holes along the way. Highly recommended.Reviewer Rating

Beautiful setting, a MUST play!
A tremendous setup boasting the most scenic views. The golf course isn’t the longest but every hole is absolutely unique, with no two holes alike.Presented in A1 condition and sound customer service. This club sets the standards for me. I loved every minute. Thank you Stamford, I will be back.

We played this course on 18/10/2015 and it was in exceptional condition. There are some beautifully picturesque holes and the greens are immaculate. The course consists of some undulating slopes and it was definitely a workout!
This course is by far the best course I have had the pleasure to play on and for £18, it was a steal. The members were friendly, even offering advice on how to attack some of the holes.
The only slight complaint I had was the lack of a map on the back of the scorecard as there are few signs out on the course to indicate the whereabouts of the next hole.
Outstanding course all round, I can't wait to see hoe it plays in summer!

One of the best courses around.A bit hilly and could be testing in bad weather/wind but that's golf for you.However,be ready for the "Midgies" flying around most areas and they DO bite.HaHa

Superb course in very good condition hard to find better greens at this time of year they are like snooker tables well done to the ground staff, pro shop very helpful and a fantastic clubhouse, some very tricky holes but the shapes of the fairways lets you shape your shots well into the greens really goo test for any golfer, fantastic will play again.

Fantastic course. Played few times and have never been let down. Stunning views on every hole and challenges a plenty whichever way you play it. If you have a good round here you deserve the beer in the clubhouse. Staff are a joy. Friendly and welcoming and ultimately the reason i became a member!

Absolutely lovely course. Members really great to get on with and very helpful as it was the first time we played this course. Bumped into the assistant pro who was patiently playing behind us, nice guy, willing to give advice etc. Can't wait to play here again, hats off to the ground staff, course in great condition.

an absolute pleasure to play this lovely course,not the longest but certainly tight and tricky,you must be accurate off the tee or oh dear is a phrase you will be hearing a lot

Played this course for first time and was quite impressed with it even though few of the holes were on temporary green due to heavy overnight rain. Got to plot your way around the course, some tricky potential card wrecking holes especially 7th,8th &13th, come off any of them with a par, job done. Although fairly short in length it is quite hilly in parts, a good walk round. Friendly members and staff. Would certainly be returning in the summer. (Played Feb 2014)
