An interesting course. Very enjoyable indeed.
I played Stamford in late February and the course was in superb condition, especially for the time of year. No mats and only 1 winter green. A challenging start to the round with some really interesting holes. You have to really think about the shot you need to play whilst on the tee. The course opens up on the back 9 but still has some tricky holes along the way. Highly recommended.Reviewer Rating

Great course worth playing
My 2nd time round Stamford this time played in a Seniors Open. Little disappointed to find on arrival that there was no catering available, not even tea & coffee, poor really considering the number of Seniors in the competition. That a side friendly welcome in the pro shop. Good practice facilities, nets and putting green. Great opening par 4 hole, elevated tee to narrow fairway with brook running down left side. The par 4 second hole needs full attention, dogleg to the left to small green. And that's how it continues, some holes needing a bit of planning to score on. Greens ran okay even though they had been hollow tinned previous week. Some steepish climbs about the course but rewarded with some great views. Nice friendly clubhouse, shame about the lack of breakfast.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 77 Handicap: 6.2)

Beautiful setting, a MUST play!
A tremendous setup boasting the most scenic views. The golf course isn’t the longest but every hole is absolutely unique, with no two holes alike.Presented in A1 condition and sound customer service. This club sets the standards for me. I loved every minute. Thank you Stamford, I will be back.

We played this course on 18/10/2015 and it was in exceptional condition. There are some beautifully picturesque holes and the greens are immaculate. The course consists of some undulating slopes and it was definitely a workout!
This course is by far the best course I have had the pleasure to play on and for £18, it was a steal. The members were friendly, even offering advice on how to attack some of the holes.
The only slight complaint I had was the lack of a map on the back of the scorecard as there are few signs out on the course to indicate the whereabouts of the next hole.
Outstanding course all round, I can't wait to see hoe it plays in summer!

Superb course in very good condition hard to find better greens at this time of year they are like snooker tables well done to the ground staff, pro shop very helpful and a fantastic clubhouse, some very tricky holes but the shapes of the fairways lets you shape your shots well into the greens really goo test for any golfer, fantastic will play again.

Absolutely lovely course. Members really great to get on with and very helpful as it was the first time we played this course. Bumped into the assistant pro who was patiently playing behind us, nice guy, willing to give advice etc. Can't wait to play here again, hats off to the ground staff, course in great condition.

Society golf day
We came here on Sunday 28th May from Puckersley Pigs golf society and we loved it. Mark the Professional give us a warm reception and was very helpful .The bar staff provided us with a lovely bacon sandwich and coffee before we played one of the best scenic and looked after courses we have played on.Every hole gave a different challenge to all level of handicaps.It is not a flat course but not a hard one to get round either. Afterwards it is a must to try the best Sunday carvery we have had anywhere. Hot and Fresh and plentiful.Thanks to all at Stamford for a great day. Yes we will definitely be back .

Hidden Gem
What a course, no 2 holes the saw and fantastic scenery all the way round, you could have been anywhere. Will happily come back and play again as it is in my opinion one of the best I have played in UK.Reviewer Rating
