What the club says: Across the last 4 years we have made significant investment into the latest machinery including a greens iron which during the summer months make our greens the envy of all clubs in the area!..
We have also rebuilt many tees including the 1st,2nd,3rd,9th,10th,11th,15th & 16th and have also introduced subtle changes such as 3 mounds on the 2nd & 3rd, in addition to the revised entrance to the 15th which in years to come will prove to be a formidable challenge once established.
Moving to bunkers we have restyled the entrance to the 11th and incorporating two larger and deeper bunkers and introduced an imposing fairway bunker on the 5th hole in May 2014, the first in our clubs 100 year history!!..
Not every project is a major project and In October 2014 with the help of our members we reseeded / replaced every divot on the course!..
Whilst trees are a feature of the course we have introduced several new plantations in 2012 & 2013 which are located on the 3rd,5th,6th,8th,11th,12th & 15th. In addition we've also planted a row of conifers up the entire length of the 8th which in years to come will provide a protective screen against Mossley Road.
Finally 2013 which was our centenary year witnessed the construction of a new entrance to the club which was funded by our members efforts...
As we move into 2015 arguably the biggest change to our course in 30 years is already in progress and will see a water feature built on the right of our 2nd hole close to the green. As the project progresses we intend to post and update this page with the latest position, it is expected that the project will be completed ready for the new season in April 2015..
Moving back to more business as usual activities the winter of 2014/15 will see our greens team continue with the tee rebuild strategy by rebuilding / levelling the 4th, 5th & 14th tees respectfully.
We ultimately adopt a sensible progressive approach to the development of our course catering for all category of golfer..

In splendid condition
Played Sunday 20th May. The course is in superb condition and the greens are excellent. The course is set in undulating land and, although never too demanding a walk, is a tough test and well worth a visit. Has some great holes and really nice par-3s. - May 21 2018
