If you dont mind the elements then give this place a try. A great layout where the whole course is pretty much on display throughout the round and a great mixture of long/short par 3's and 4' really compliment the tough par 5's!

There are some really tough holes that can play extremely long if into wind but you can have some real fun on the holes that play downwind.
As you'd expect with inland links the main thing to watch out for is the rough if its been allowed to grow.
Greens are in a much better condition now than what they were 2/3 years ago and I love the fact that this place seems to get better on each visit.

It's had work done recently and there are marks on the fairway where they have sorted the drainage. Like when any course has work its always for the best so don't let this out you off.
Also it's a young course so still needs to mature here and there but really enjoyable.
Very wide and open which means if your a higher handicapper you will pretty much still have some kind of shot even if your drives aren't too straight.
If you catch this course in the evening it can also provide some stunning views.

The course is well spread out with no need to shout "fore" as there is a big gap between fairways.
Food and drinks very reasonably priced.
Enjoyable and will definitely return.

Always Getting Better
Still enjoy going back to St Ives for a game after all these years. The courses always seems to get better, this time I found the fairways to be in great condition and the greens always seem to run really well.
When the wind picks up some hole can be a real test, but that mean when you are playing with the wind its a good chance to open and and have a bit of fun.
The water does come into play on a good handful of holes so keep a watch out for that.
17 and 18 are a great couple of holes to finish on.

Always Getting Better
Every time I visit St Ives I find it gets better and better. The work that has been done to improve the course is always on going which is great to see.Personally I don't like the term 'Inland Links' but that's exactly what it is, with pretty much just the 1 tree over the back on the par 5.
The course is maturing with the tough rough growing up in places and even though the greens were soft they are still super fast. Some real challenging hole.
Its wide open here so the wind can pick up and definitely play a few shots harder.
Always enjoyable.
