A tough day for scoring. Greens were excellent but the fairways have suffered a lot of,damage from a wet winter.

Silloth has hosted numerous huge golf tournaments over the years and it is no wonder why, this really is an outstanding links golf course. The fairways are tight, the rough is long and there are many strategically placed pot bunkers waiting for any shot that isn't on line. This course is arguably the best in the county and you shouldn't let the reasonably long drive put you off visiting this exquisite course.

We play as a society each year at Silloth and it keeps bring us back, a great challenging course with excellent views when the weather permits. This year brought wind and the front nine was playing into a wind tunnel, the back nine a lot easier with the wind behind!

A true links course. The ball can easily run into trouble from very good shots and the rough is tough. The course is maintained in excellent condition and it is a very enjoyable course to play if a little frustrating at times.

Greens were the best I have played on this year. True roll without being silly fast.
Sausage butty to die for. Played in the 4 man team open for the 4th time. A truly excellent day. Will definitely be coming back again in 2015

People will tell you that Silloth is hard, it is, but don't let that put you off. It is beautiful, and a truly excellent links course. Keep the ball straight and don't try to hit too long and you'll be fine, just it's easier said than done. A must play course.

Fantastic course which is unbelievable value for money. If this was located anywhere else it would be at least double the price. Each hole was unique and felt isolated from the rest of the course, which made for a great golfing experience. Only minor drawbacks were a couple of weak holes - a short par 4 on the turn in particular and the 18th was a bit unremarkable but I guess this just shows how good the rest of the course is. All in all a fantastic, challenging, links golf experience.

Played here on 27/7/13. Picked a perfect day slight breeze nice and warm, shot 105 and I play off 27, a 9 and a 10 both on par 4s ruined a good round. Considering packing up at my current club and playing here wonderful course
