A fantastic course in a beautiful setting. Greens were absolutely superb and one of the best links courses in the UK.

Silloth has hosted numerous huge golf tournaments over the years and it is no wonder why, this really is an outstanding links golf course. The fairways are tight, the rough is long and there are many strategically placed pot bunkers waiting for any shot that isn't on line. This course is arguably the best in the county and you shouldn't let the reasonably long drive put you off visiting this exquisite course. - Jul 26 2016

Played it on Friday as part of our society weekend away trip and what an absolute pleasurable experience it was. The course was fantastic especially as we caught it on a calm day. There were some cracking holes on it and it made it even trickier with the blind shots to some greens, it was handy we had buggies which afforded us the opportunity to have a quick look at what awaited us at the green, A big thank you must also go to all the staff who made us feel really welcome, with some cracking food as well try the poached eggs and haggis on toast delicious.

Having been highly recommended by a friend many years ago I finally made it to this fairly remote Links course tucked away behind the Lakeland hills. It lived up to its reputation. Tight fariways rolling through sweeping dunes thickly clad in hellish heather. 6 penalty drops/ tee shots proved accuracy off tee and club choice on approaches cirtical, but not always easy in strong wind blowing off the sea. An exhausting but exhilarating challenge. Will definitley not be waiting 15 years more to get back to try again.
