Very warm day, and the hills on the 13th,15th and 18th were very grueling today. The course was in good condition even after the recent winter weather, the course was closed 3 days ago too wet. Try to play here at least once a year. Food and hospitality very good in the 19th. Enjoyable day.

most welcoming

course in great condition, both fairways and greens. Members very friendly, inviting me to play through whenever able. Easier front 9 (excepting no 8), with 3 par 5's, and then a case of holding it together on back 9. Some very picturesque holes with great views.
Apparently suffers in wet season, but not unusual in this area.

Sometime since I have played here. Played well for 11 holes and then my driving went off line which is fatal here at Shirland with the tree lined fairways.
Some of the greens were bare in places but overall an enjoyable round.

coarse greens still water coming up when walking to ball on five of them and foot prints on some others will need some good weather to dry them out will play again summer

Very disappointed yet again, booked this course for Saturday the 12th of November with a buggy as playing partner has a prolapsed disk, drove over 30 miles to get there only to be told we can't have a buggy although there was buggies already on the course. When questioned was informed that we need to show a sick note or disability statement neither of which we had on us as was not expecting this type of treatment, needless to say we will never return even though we had started to play this course on a regular basis

Enjoyable course to play. Tree lined fairways that are narrower on the outward nine. Well thought out par 3s of which there are five all possessing a different challenge. Very well maintained course, bunkers with good sand, fairways grassy well cut and firm, rough punishing but not over the top. Welcoming pro.
