Considering the weather that we have been experiencing, the track was in very good nick. A couple of temp greens that we weren't advised of but this is a lovely course and bot sets of nines provide a different challenge. I'd advise not taking the driver and going for drive accuracy and you will score well. I'll definitely play here again.

My first experience of this course - very good !The greens were true and quick, with the course in general being in good condition despite recent rains Some quite tricky holes, however overall a fair test - definite return visit soon

This course always amazes me with how well it drains when there is lots of rain. I enjoy playing Sandmartins every time.

excellent welcome from the staff. Good course in good condition. Nice to play the contrasting nines (parkland and links). Only gripe is the greens had clearly undergone a lot of recent work so were surprisingly slow.

Remarkably friendly staff and members, look forward to a return!

I played this course for the first time and was very impressed. Good value for money, particularly with a special offer we used. Sand Martins was in good condition and I would single out the back nine holes and the quality of the greens as the highlight. Really enjoyed the friendly welcome as a visitor and the club has all the facilities including a very good halfway house which was open for business at 4pm on a weekday (unlike many other courses I have played). Overall a very good course and for a mid-handicap player a good test.

A course of two different halves. The front 9 are your traditional parkland style, with trees and winding fairways, but after the half-way house things change a lot - into an inland links with big undulations and huge sandstone outcroppings into the fairways, land behind or on one of those and it's an extra shot on the card to get out.

Sand Martins challenges you to decide on the percentage shot - on the front 9 you can open up those shoulder s and give it a whack, not so the back 9.

The fairways are really well maintained and the greens were like silk - a really good experience of golf.

The clubhouse is really comfortable and staff friendly. The food there is excellent too.

Sandmartins is not what I would consider a picture postcard course as it is still maturing and a relatively young course. That said if you are looking for a course that is in pristine condition then look no futher. From tee to green it is hard to find faults. The greens in particular are top quality and lightning fast. As good as some championship greens I have played on.

I was a member here a few years ago and really enjoyed my time whilest i was. The course has a parkland/Woodland front nine with a Links feel to the back nine. A lovely clubhouse and changing rooms, nice restaurant and bar aswell.

Its a well managed property and with good staff on hand if need be aswell, Andrew Hall was the owner when i was there and is a great teacher if you wanted a few lessons, but all in all a Nice golf course and well worth playing!

Very interesting a well laid out course. Front nine and back nine have completely different character (inland and links feel to them). Quite a lot of water involved and great quality fairways and green. Well worth a visit.
