Played yesterday waited on every shot front nine: playing on my own. Two three balls Infront, eventually let through on 5th and then the 9th. Played again today stuck behind a four ball today from 12th, would not let me through so walked off after 14th.

An old tree lined course just outside Guildford. It’s not the longest of courses but it is a very tricky course. Greens were in excellent condition. A Surrey Gem

Played on very windy day on a muddy course but never the less an enjoyable round. Although quite short this course punishes poor shots.

Greens quite slow by Puttenham standards. Course very nice as always - very reasonable twilight green fee.

Greens in very good condition. Driver only needed on three or four occasions. interesting holes which required the use of most clubs in the bag sooner or later. We made use of an Amazon deal which brought the cost down significantly. Wouldn\'t have felt it good value for the full cost of green fee which i believe is around the £50 mark. £30 would seem appropriate to me. Staff were very welcoming both in the clubhouse and the pro shop. Downside for me was the second which has a cricket pitch to the left (we played Sunday afternoon). Spectators were well within my pulled shot range. 17th runs parallel to a busy road to the left. Once again well within my range for a pulled shot. Course wasn't as narrow as i expected and the holes seem to improve as you move through the round. You'll need to consider your tee shots carefully. Big distance won't always work on this course.

A lovely course, and a good test of driving, with many holes that remind you of the great surrey courses like Sunningdale or Wentworth. This course is tight wooded, and runs for miles because of the drainage, Its small well bunkered greens, are really good tests, with subtle undulations. Although Shortish in length (what isnt nowadays with big Drivers) is made up by need for accuracy and good short game. I like the Ist 4 holes, and if you play when the cricket season is on dont hit it near the Puttenham cricket pitch which lies in the centre of 3rd and 4th holes. Its a shame there are no great views to see from the course, but this is not why your here is it. You can play well here and think your ready to play pro golf, but im afraid thats because you have really driven well and dont have much more than a 7 iron in any where. Its a shame that i played it when the club house was being refurbished, but apart from that no real practice facilities and the shop was a little small. Also the cost was i though a bit steep for a lunch of sandwiches and a drink. Play it in summer and you can shoot under handicap, winter play too handicap. Play badly and you will see a lot of trees and gorse.

Great course
Played today at an Open event as find the normal green fees too expensive. Despite the rain, course in very good condition and only a couple of holes on the back 9 muddy. Nice variety and challenge with some holes easier than others! Great halfway hut and great value.Reviewer Rating

Bit if a hidden gem
This is a touht course the first time you play it.Some of the tee shots look impossibly tight but once you have played it a few times (this was my third) you realise there is a bit more space than you expect. With only two par 5 and three par 3 holes, there is a great variety of par 4 holes throughout to test and challange. Not a long course but you must hit a straight ball to score well here. Conditioning has suffered a bit froma lack of rain but the tees, greens and especially bunkers are very nice.Reviewer Rating

Nice course
Had the opportunity to play the course today as normal green fees too expensive for our group. Nice course with lots of variey and contours and slopes and so have to work your way around. Fantastic halfway hut as well.Only criticism was that the two temp. greens were both basically on the fairway which made putting a bit of a lottery and would have benefited by having larger holes to compensate.Reviewer Rating
