Cracking course in excellent condition for this time of the year; some courses are not this good in the summer. Greens very fast, but true.

An excellent course - testing and fair. Undulating layout and excellent greens. Some exquisite views of London and the Surrey countryside.

Played here with a member last weekend and the course was in great condition even though the greens had been recently top dressed. The staff and members I met were extremely friendly and polite. Look forward to playing here again.

Played here for the first time with a friend who's a member. Fantastic course with lovely greens. Other members very welcoming and nice food in the clubhouse afterwards. Will play again soon.

I have played some top end courses, but the course at Purley Downs is really impressive. The greens are some of the best I've played. A really good day all round.

Paid £25 on the County Card and had a great day. Course is so dry for this time of year and the greens are still as good as most i played in the summer. The last time i played Purley was nearly 3 years ago and i cant believe the improvements, great to see a club investing in its course

Best greens I played all summer, having just played the course again they are remarkable for December. Under foot conditions so dry this must be one of the best drained courses in the South of England

Classic old school course
This is a classic downlond course with views over London. Very hilly and undulating and it blew a 2-3 club wind when I played meaning some of the long par 4 holes played likepar 5s and the par 5s played like 4s. Absolutely superb condition and a nice varierty of holes. Tranquil and quiet when I played, apart from the sound of the wind, it is well worth a visit. Not a long course but the greens are tough and you have to be precise with your shots.Reviewer Rating
