Enjoyable experience
The round started with a few frustrations- i put my head around the door of the shop and it seems to have become a practice studio. So I went to play. I waited a few moments after my tee off time as there were two players ahead- both playing two balls, as it turned out- the first two holes took almost 30 minutes by which time I was caught up by the group behind. The course always looks good- it seems the rough is a little more forgiving than it has been. On the downside, quite a few of the greens offer bobbly putting and seem to be inconsistent when it comes to speed from hole to hole. A number had sand on- one of my putts turned almost 90 degrees through sand!
Fairly busy on a beautiful Monday- but once the two juniors gave up it was a good pace of play.
With the condition of the greens, the full price green fee would be at least heading towards 'poor value' especially considering the excellence of greens at some other local courses for substantially less expense.

Great Course & Clubhouse
I play here on a regular basis and the course always delivers! It's got the right blend of difficulty without being overly challenging and there is a real mixture of holes to keep it interesting. The course is always extremely well kept and has some spectacular scenery and views! The clubhouse is also very nice and offers a really good food menu!!!Reviewer Rating

Excellent Course
Following a round at Pleasington Golf Club last week I thought it was only right to express my views on the golf course. Having not played it for a few years I was delighted with the changes the club are currently making over a certain period to change to look of the golf course. The course was in superb condition and my thanks go to the greenstaff for all their efforts in producing a beautiful golf course. I will certainly be returning in the future and will definitely be booking a society of my own to visit this great course. I recommend any keen golfer when in the area to book a round at Pleasington Golf Club, you will not be disappointed.Reviewer Rating

Ticked off the 'to play list'
Pleasington has been on my 'to play list' for a while and this week I was lucky enough to play it. I waited to play here until they opened up the full 18 after carrying out some work on a few of their holes (7, 8 & 9 if I remember correctly) and I'm pleased I did as these were some of my favourite parts to the course. Can't wait to return, next time I'll be allowing for for a longer lunch in their very classy clubhouse.Reviewer Rating

Played from white tees, didn't go into clubhouse which looked nice from the outside. Course is not overly long of particularly difficult, its defence largely in narrowish fairways and the greens which are not small but were in good condition and I suspect are quite quick and tricky in the dry. Lots of changes in elevation on parts of the course which is set in great scenery. Be prepared for a number of blind tee shots (a pet peeve of mine) which are a pain on first time of playing, especially the par 5 7th where i hit a drive straight at the marker post and lost the ball when 2 it needed a hybrid. Fairways and bunkers all in good nick, rough lush but fine.
I'm a member elsewhere and enjoyed the round but I'd say 3 things about paying a green fee as a member, only one of which is about this club.
1. I was allowed to play from the white tees but asked to play the par 3s from the yellows when there seemed ti be no good reason for that. This can only be because they want to preserve the white tees for comps (uo yours, visitors)
2. Even though it's the going rate, £50 is still a lot for 4 hours of golf on a decent golf course. This isn't Pleasington's fault and they probably don't need the money as much as some but this will price out many.
3. The club has a blue tee set but I wasn't given the opportunity to play from it. As a cat 2 golfer I'm not going to chew the course up and in 2020 more clubs need to be providing all their tee sets for competent visitors. I know this isn't a popular view but this needs to change.
4/5. Enjoyed my day and the course which I'd happily play again. 1 point deducted for being made to play from yellow tees on the par 3s.

Nice course, great greens.
Visited Pleasington for the first time early Jan. Nice varied mix of holes and surprisingly undulated course. The greens were very good, the Par 3s deserve mention as they were all very good. Not the warmest of welcomes from the young lad in the pro shop who was more interested in playing games on his phone than welcoming visitors!Reviewer Rating

Society Day
Even with recent bad weather the course was excellent, greens true and fairways well maintained. The staff looked after us and the food was great. For a society day cannot recommend higher. We were very pleased with our choice, give it a go!!Reviewer Rating

Cracking Lancashire course.
First time at Pleasington GC and had a brilliant experience.Warm welcome in the proshop & club house to start the day - fantastic bacon sarnie!
The members we came across were as welcoming as anywhere I have played. The course was in fantastic condition from tee to green. The only gripe would be the difficulty as a first time player becoming unstuck on some of the challenging holes, not knowing the line etc, but never the less a great day out and excellent value for money.
