What the club says: Situated less than 6 miles mile from junction 31 of the M6 and 3 miles from junction 6 of the M65, Blackburn Golf Club is highly accessible. The parkland course has extensive views of the Pennine Hills and Fylde coast.
The course measures 6,144 yards from the white tees, par 71 for men and 5,364 yards, par 73 for ladies. It is a fair and enjoyable test for any level of golfer.

Deceptive course, appears to have a lot of short par 4s but because of the hills they play quite long. Enjoyable game.

Good condition

Worth another visit
Played here for the first time in years, I had no recall from the previous round. The course is tight in places with greens right next to tee beds but all in all it was enjoyable. The weather stayed dry and warm which helped as I'm sure it would be grim on a wet and windy day!! The greens were well maintained and reasonably quick.The biggest problem was the pace of play. A number of larger groups (members) in front held their position and caused the following groups to stack up and spend time waiting on tee beds. It would be harsh to judge the day on this issue but it did cause some annoyance which detracted from a pretty good day. I would recommend giving the place a go and just hope you have swifter moving groups ahead.

Very good course
Played a fourball , we never had to wait , nor did we hold anyone up behind. Course in good condition, greens good but had dressing on surface, despite previous wet weather , ground was dry A little tight between tees and greens . Brilliant
I had not heard a lot about the course before playing it and I don't know why not. Friendly members and staff, but most importantly.. . . The course was in amazing condition and is a test to players of all levels while also being fair. The greens were flawless and although it had rained for 2 days solid and heavy there was no signs of the on the course. It's a must play course for all levels of golferReviewer Rating

What a course!
What a fantastic course, not too long but some very interesting holes. Greens in good condition along with fairways. Some of the tees were patchy due to how much rain it has put down recently but that didn’t spoil our round.Would play again and possibly join. Made to feel welcome by the members.

Lovely course with some great views. 10th & 13th lovely driving holes & the 16th a nice par 3. Great views from the top, but getting up the hill on the 8th is not for the faint hearted!

Played mid-Feb. Most tee's were temporary mats, but they were in OK condition. Half and half temporary greens. Fairways were having a lot of work done on them so weren't in the best condition. Some really interesting holes but in amongst housing so it isn't the most picturesque. May return in the season to see how it differs when in better condition.

Considering the weather wasn't to good the course was in good condition. Very nice clubhouse the man running the club shop was very friendly and helpful. The greens were in great condition and the rough not to long. Overall great day
