What the club says: A 12 hole course some with different tees for the back and front 9. Our clubhouse boasts some excellent practice area facilities which are on one side of the M65, the course is only a short stroll to the other side of the bridge.

Rishton Golf Club offers a very fair test of golf. The first is a lovely hole, a dog leg right with the second shot over water to an elevated green, a real good start. The last needs a good drive to a fairly narrow landing area, then a lofted second over a tree filled ditch with a stream at the bottom of it making this a very difficult finish.

Wonderful little gem of a course!

Rishton Golf Club is a very unassuming little club. No pro-shop or fancy clubhouse, just a good old fashioned club bar and an absolutely fantastic course. The layout is excellent and challenging but the condition of the course is the star of the show. I've played here twice in the last few weeks (late May/early June) whilst the weather hasn't been great, but the course is in immaculate shape despite this. It would put most courses to shame, especially at the price (we paid ?8 for 18 holes).

Peach of a course.

What's striking about this course is not only the views of east Lancashire but it's overall condition the fairways are in top nick and the greens are some of the best I've played in the UK. The only gripe I would have with the course is the order you play the 4th & 13th I would switch it round to avoid the unnecessary walk to the par 5 on the back nine. The 9/17th is one of the hardest holes I have played and one bad shot will ruin a round. All in all a fantastic little course.

Played here a number of times now and so far so good. Everyone is friendly and not had a bad experience so far. The course is a good mixed bag of holes. The first is a dogleg with a hidden pond than catch you out. The rest vary in length and difficultly. The third is tricky if you put even the slightest bit of right swing on your ball and the 4th/13th are mixed up a little if you play 18. The 6th is a good length par 5 with a nice wide fairway to test your driving. The 9th is the toughest hole with a gaping ravine in the middle to swallow any stray ball. If you play 18 you last play the 18th near the clubhouse. And if you play in the evening like I did , and there is a function on, you have a good audience whilst putting and probably the closest it'll feel for a lot of us to playing the open.
Overall it's one of my favourite courses and well worth the money.

Although fairly local to me it was my first visit to Rishton GC. Very reasonable rates on-line. Small clubhouse, no pro shop, signing book in the front of the clubhouse. First tee over the bridge. Decent layout for a 9 holer. Nearly caught out with the par 3 4th as there are two separate greens, one for front nine and one for back nine. Quite an open course so can open your shoulders. Course generally in very good condition. Greens a little slow but giving a true roll. Nice little par 3 18th to finish in front of the clubhouse. Well worth a visit. Will return for sure.
