Very Nice Place

Rabbits Tri-Way tournament - this was a lovely course - very nicely laid out, some cracking holes, intimidating pond on hole 1 and 18 which is not what is required rushing straight from work on a Thursday evening! The whole course was lovely from start to finish, the company was fun and the food afterwards was decent - not amazing but more than decent.
Worth another look another time for sure.

Mixed feelings

Played the course bank holiday monday for £20pp, and we were very dissapointed in the quality of the greens, they were blotchy/hard muddy patches, didnt run true at all, certainly some attention needed, i know weather has been bad but i have also played other courses recently (of higher and less stature than Normanton that have there green in great condition) it feels they are trying to get the greens as hard and fast as they can and overlooking the quality, have played hear at least 5 times in past and worst it has been for greens

this really detracted from a good days golf for our society, rest of course was in a good condition fairways nice to play from and is a layout that i enjoyed the design of some of the greens are great being 3 tiered, and clubhouse and pro shop very welcoming with the service, i would still go back with the hope that the green are in better condition

What a gem

The grounds man much take great pride in his / her work.i would say this has been the best course we have played in the 3 years I've been in our society. The putting greens were excellent and to say with the amount of rain we'd had the fairways were also quality.
I would definitely recommend this course.

Excellent course, greens tricky but true. Round undone by the difficult 18th. If you come off the green with 1 over par 5 you should be very grateful.
