Poor greens

Overall course in good condition, greens a big let down. If I were a member I would need answers to why they are so bad.

Excellent course worth a visit

Course is in excellent condition and is a true test of golf. Even the short par 4s have tricky greens etc.

Nice course just outside Wakefield centre

Nicely maintained course. Greens, tee offs, bunkers, fairways v good standard. Clubhouse is quaint and nice place to relax in after a round. A few holes do slope quite severely left to right due to lay of land, and a couple of holes cross over I.e teeing off over a green which can occasionally slow play down if busy.

Friendliest course around

Upon arriving I couldn't find the club house so asked a member and pointed me to where I needed to be.vcourse was stunning, greens fantastic and everyone from staff to the members very very helpful. The clubhouse was still open when we finished at 7pm which is very rare at some of the courses I play at. All the holes well signed up ie 150 markers next tee and men's and ladies tee when in different locations. A fair course with a good mixture of holes for all levels.

Joys of winter golf

The course is in a bad way with having to play off mats on fairways. Think it's fair to say they've cut the grass too short so it's bare and muddy on the fairways. Have to say though the greens were lightning fast and the winter tee off areas were spacious rather than the usual soap boxes you have to tee off at most courses. A very nice course to play in summer but not so much winter

Very windy day and the contours of the course took the ball off the fairways far too often. The course has suffered with the heat wave many bare patches around. The tees were very poor and need reseeding. It will be some time before we come back again. The buggy was old with suspect brakes which I reported back to the pro.

Play to the slope

Nice friendly welcome, course in good condition and has a nice feel about the hole lay outs. The middle section slopes so the fairways are hard to hold but that's golf. All in all it's a good day out.

Great course!

I played here on a Thursday evening with two friends and it was one of the better golfing experiences I have had, despite me playing an awful round. The course is challenging and in great condition despite the lack of rain recently, the tee boxes were holding up still, and the greens were well maintained while providing a test. Some fairways are narrow and not very forgiving though. The scenery is fantastic, you wouldn?t know you?re right next to the M1. I was so happy, I booked another 18 for the weekend. Definitely recommend!
