Nice course just outside Wakefield centre

Nicely maintained course. Greens, tee offs, bunkers, fairways v good standard. Clubhouse is quaint and nice place to relax in after a round. A few holes do slope quite severely left to right due to lay of land, and a couple of holes cross over I.e teeing off over a green which can occasionally slow play down if busy.

Friendliest course around

Upon arriving I couldn't find the club house so asked a member and pointed me to where I needed to be.vcourse was stunning, greens fantastic and everyone from staff to the members very very helpful. The clubhouse was still open when we finished at 7pm which is very rare at some of the courses I play at. All the holes well signed up ie 150 markers next tee and men's and ladies tee when in different locations. A fair course with a good mixture of holes for all levels.

Great course!

I played here on a Thursday evening with two friends and it was one of the better golfing experiences I have had, despite me playing an awful round. The course is challenging and in great condition despite the lack of rain recently, the tee boxes were holding up still, and the greens were well maintained while providing a test. Some fairways are narrow and not very forgiving though. The scenery is fantastic, you wouldn't know you're right next to the M1. I was so happy, I booked another 18 for the weekend. Definitely recommend!

I have been playing at Low Laithes for over 20 years and the course just gets better and better. Profits are ploughed back into the course and we are really reaping the benefits. 6 of the medal tees have been levelled and returfed this winter, 14 greens were sandbanded to improve drainage. Drainage ditches have improved the course in the winter months and several bunkers have been reshaped and several bunkers have been added. All I can say now is roll on the summer months as I cannot wait to finish a great medal round and sit out on the patio having a cold beer overlooking the 18th green at our wonderful course with a great group of friends....not convinced, come see for yourself.

Peaceful setting worth visiting

Easy to find and not far from Leeds
Staff polite and helpful on first arriving
Course in good condition and presented well
Some fairways hard to keep your ball on as they slope but the greens where great to play on and tested your putting skills

Lovely course

Played here today. Made very welcome by the pro shop staff before we teed off. Very well maintained course, some very long holes and challenging ones. Enjoyed the round very much even though i had a bad one!!!. Would highly recommend and once again a big thank you to the pro shop staff. Unfortunately we had to get straight off after the round so never had chance to try the clubhouse out.

The course is a very nice and well kept course. Some holes are very hard to play driver is not always the way to go. Need to be able to keep it striaght on a couple of holes. Over all great course to play will be going back.

Lovely course well worth a visit

Played today (v.hot). Very well maintained course. Fine white sand in bunkers which makes a pleasant change and unusual. Nice layout and some challenging long holes. Greens seemed a little patchy ( to be expected with recent weather) but do not be deceived as some were like putting on glass .would reccomended and hopefully be playing it again this year ( on our £25 tour list)

Played here for the first time in about 10 years. As l recalled it is quite a testing course with it's left to right sloping fairways.
The ground was soft going due to rain and some of the greens showed a bit of wear & tear, but all in all we enjoyed the round.
All 3 of us agreed we would certainly play there again in the future and look forward to play there maybe next May -June

Picked a very busy day , but they coped with the increased number of players. All greens are a test on slopes with curves, you need to bring your best putter.

Good food and drink.

Poor greens

Overall course in good condition, greens a big let down. If I were a member I would need answers to why they are so bad.
