It was a good course and some very interesting holes but in my opinion it needs more length for the bigger hitters

Normy
It was very wet with a lot of standing water and flooded bunkers. However the greens were in a fair condition as ever at normy. A good course and a challenge to all golfers of any standard.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 105 Handicap: 27.1)

Lots of holes with variety on this course very pleasant surroundings.
Some of the fairways were recovering from the weather. Several greens were very fast and difficult. A good test of golf.

Mixed feelings
Played the course bank holiday monday for £20pp, and we were very dissapointed in the quality of the greens, they were blotchy/hard muddy patches, didnt run true at all, certainly some attention needed, i know weather has been bad but i have also played other courses recently (of higher and less stature than Normanton that have there green in great condition) it feels they are trying to get the greens as hard and fast as they can and overlooking the quality, have played hear at least 5 times in past and worst it has been for greensthis really detracted from a good days golf for our society, rest of course was in a good condition fairways nice to play from and is a layout that i enjoyed the design of some of the greens are great being 3 tiered, and clubhouse and pro shop very welcoming with the service, i would still go back with the hope that the green are in better condition

Nice Round
Nice course - good layout - nicely challenging.Course needs a little TLC around bunkers and the odd tee, but overall good value for money

great course worth a visit
very good course just needed a little bit of work with bunkers and some of the grass could do with a cut hard at times trying to find your ball on edge of fairways but all in all the weather could have a bit to do with that the greens where in great condition and very fast really enjoyed the roundReviewer Rating

Changes to the length of grass here this year. Many of the bunkers and surrounding tees, the grass has been allowed to grow wild. This has certainly changed many of the approaches to the greens on a very challenging course with it's water hazards and many bunkers. Different strategy needed to play here again.

The course was very busy and pace of play a little slow (4 1/4hrs for a two ball) but the weather was good and we weren't in a rush! Would I recommend it?100% and will look forward to coming back in summer because if it's like this now??.
