Unfortunately the greens have been hollow tined and most of the sand seems to have been removed from the bunkers and put on the greens. I'm no greenkeeper so there must be a sound reason for this although I've not seen it before and sadly affects the round - no one in my group holed anything all day. Usually a high standard course with great facilities.

The course at Nizels is very good and a good challenge for all handicaps. Unfortunately the club is run by non-golfers so definitely play the course but DO NOT become a full-time member - masses of societies and events and no control over no-shows means you will not be able to play!

A challenging, and somewhat intimidating course, which is well maintained and enjoys beautiful views.
Can get very wet in the Winter. Club facilities are good but they seem understaffed in the catering dept which can be annoying when you have to rush food to meet a t-time.

Whilst the course in general was suffering from the continuing dry / heat spell of this summer the greens were in excellent condition.

A Strong Variety & Great Views
As a fan of James Braid im nit naturally drawn to more recently designed courses but I was rather taken with this one although I know my limitations so wont be attempting it in winter because its long. However at thus tine its excellent & provides opportunities for high scoring with wide fairways large flattish greens & very visible hazards where to avoid. I enjoyed the variety of holes too & the lushness of the fairways.Reviewer Rating
