The course at Nizels is very good and a good challenge for all handicaps. Unfortunately the club is run by non-golfers so definitely play the course but DO NOT become a full-time member - masses of societies and events and no control over no-shows means you will not be able to play!

Welcoming and fun
We are newcomers to golf and have been playing several courses in West Kent. As existing health club members it has taken us too long to give the golf course a go. We found it interesting, challenging, and in good condition. Really nice to have facilities and a halfway house at holes 1&10. We also met a very helpful Marshall who popped up in various places to check we were ok. Course is having some work done - new bunkers and drainage which I understand is needed so is only a good thing for the future, but meant that one hole currently closed, and two holes with temporary greens. Fee discounted to reflect that. Nice lunch in bar after.Reviewer Rating

Played on 18th March. I have played a few times before and had heard the drainage had been sorted, not so. The course was dreadful, it was like hitting a ball off a soaked sponge and that’s just the fairways. The fairways on some holes were like a mowed field. I think the problem is the course is so wet, the greens staff cannot cut short enough. Balls were plugging on fairways in the rough...forget it, pick up your ball, clean the mud and place. Won’t be going back.

Wide variety of holes
Very welcoming venue with nice clubhouse. Fun course to play with a wide variety of holes and lots of water hazards. Beautiful backdrop to course , very scenic.Reviewer Rating

Rip off.
Booked online and at no point did they warn me that two holes were closed for drainage work and that the greens had been spiked. It's July so you would expect the course to be in the best condition. I feel completely ripped off. Never going back.Reviewer Rating

Good course layout with lots of interesting holes. Bunkers appalling. Has someone nicked the sand? Anti visitor attitude from some members, sadly these seem to be the "friends" of and including the captain.

Should have been closed
Played today and course completely waterlogged. Really shouldn't have been open. Front desk said they'd leave a note for the greenkeeper, which isn't any use. So it's a poor review for todayReviewer Rating

Rough makes it a tight course, greens sanded for Junior competition in a fortnights time so difficult, but really good holes to play, all varied.

My first time at this course and found it to be very friendly and in perfect condition - the course lay out was very challenging and the greens were superb, very true. A real pleasure to have played the course and I will definitely be back to play again.

Despite living less than 5 minutes from Nizels I finally played there yesterday with big expectations. Apart from being behind a VERY slow society the course lived up to expectations.
This course isn't a "bangers" course, you really need to place your tee shots and be confident with your distances due to tight fairways and water hazards.
We played shortly after the Junion masters so the rough was very long, if it went in it wasn't even worth looking for it...which definitely concentrated the mind.
The greens were lightning fast but very true. Unlike my usual game I made a number of 5-6ft putts as the greens allowed you to.
The clubhouse and food was also top notch - if only the annual fee was a little lower I'd definitely join.

A pretty open and forgiving course but very tricky in places making it a challenge but keeping it interesting. The restaurant is good but dont rely on the staff getting the order right and it will take longer than it ought to. My only complaint is it always seems to be cold and wet when we go here (last played twice in May and we had to stop halfway round to warm up) although the member I was a guest of assures me Kent isn't always like that and that I bring the weather with me!
