Nice links style course. Mixture of long and short par 4 holes. The greens looked in need of some work. Enjoyable round

Always nice to go back and play my hometown course. Probably the calmest conditions I've ever played in at Newbiggin. Course was in excellent condition and everybody was nice and friendly

played well course good for time of year not happy with having to move the ball to the side of the fairway.

A true test in extremely windy conditions.
Greens slick. Will be even tougher when the rough grows.

A course that reminds me of some of the old links courses of Eastern Scotland such as Montrose, Dunbar or has some of the eccentricity of Cruden Bay. Like Dunbar's Cement Works, the views are tinged by the heavy industry of SE Northumberland and the turn is next to Lynemouth Power Station. Don't let this put you off: the waves crash against the green edges and those greens are superb. You'll struggle to find faster and truer within an hour's drive. Not every hole is strong and there's not a lot of bunkering, but with a links wind, there's plenty of ways to get into trouble. A great value proper old fashioned links course within 30 mins of the middle of Newcastle.

After torrential rain overnight the course was still as dry as a bone. Greens in excellent condition althouth the fairways are a bit patchy. Course is always better when you play well and with the rough cut back it gives you a chance.
Will be back later in the season.

I played this course a couple of weeks ago,and I was very impressed,the greens were very good ,and the course itself is a very challenging test of golf ,all in all this course is well worth a visit ,and very good value for money, I enjoyed a pint afterwards in the very friendly clubhouse,can't really find fault with newbiggin gc ,
