First time playing here. Paid a day rate of £135 to play twice, foursomes in the morning and singles in the afternoon. Represented great value for the quality of the course which was exceptional save for a little variance in bunker quality. Otherwise great, though they're keen on a long par 5 and with only 1 par 5, par 68 is a tough ask. Course is what you'd expect from a traditional heathland set up with heather and other similar foliage. Not quite in colour when I played which was a shame as I would think it looks spectacular once in full bloom. The course has a nice amount of variety and gives you a decent shot with driver if you hit a reasonable ball. Green complexes are great and provide a real challenge. Greens rolled as well as you'd expect for a course of this quality. Club did a great job of fitting our 4 ball around a large society in both morning and afternoon and had a nice lunch on the terrace from the bar menu between rounds. Play it if you get the chance.

Hidden Beauty!
Lucky enough to play here annually as part of society, usually Nov/March. Always in immaculate condition & better than most in terms of drainage. Not a course for bombers & requires careful plotting for a good score. Greens are fair & true so can't be blamed! Lovely old clubhouse & great well stocked half way hut if an alcoholic tipple required! All staff are welcoming & helpful. One of my favourite places to play this amazing game with spectacular views with nearly all holes being framed by heather. A must play.Reviewer Rating

Two very enjoyable rounds at this lovely Surrey golf course. The Greens were fast for this time of year. Whilst you might get bogged down on other courses in March the footing here was firm. Not a course for beginners because of the need to carry the heather.

Best kept secret!
Beautiful course that we are lucky to play every year with our society. Always in great condition and fantastic layout although the heather can ruin your round!Not a long course but very well laid out and requires thought.
Staff are fantastic and very welcoming.

Wonderful course. We take a Society there every year. Excellent course and hospitality. Need to be careful off the Tee as Heather in play in virtually all holes. Great staff. Always found them most hospitable.

always been on bucket list... had chance to play . did not disappoint!! don't let par 68 put you off....most par 4s over 400 yds. and tight as you like! friendliest members in any golf course I've visited too.. old school no frills clubhouse but so friendlyReviewer Rating
