A lovely course set in the New Forest (hence the name!). Be aware that wild animals roam freely over the course, which in my view adds to the course and makes it very interesting. Hitting up 18 we had to fly the ball over three wild horses!! The greens are currently in fantastic condition. The ball rolled very trust and if you picked the right line the putts would drop. There are some interesting holes on both nines, and some drivable par 4's on the back. The par 5 3rd is a cracking hole. Two very good hits are need to get the ball anywhere near a very undulating green. I really enjoyed some of the par 3's on the back nine, particularly the 11th. Very touch to hit the green which has run offs all round. It is almost like an island green! We didn't try the clubhouse, but the members we bumped into around the course were friendly and seemed proud of their course. Definitely worth a round if you are in the area, although I expect it would get very boggy in the winter so suggest playing in the summer months.
