What the club says: Bramshott Hill Golf Club was formed in 1975 when a group of golfers were asked by New Forest District Council to start a Golf Club. The 18 hole course was first opened in 1974 and has over the years become very popular with local golfers, societies and tourists. The 9th Hole was added to the facility in 1991 and the high specification greens and drainage enable use of this course all year round. The signature 6th hole is particularly challenging with tree hazards protecting inaccurate approaches to the green.

Needs work

Disappointed with the state of the fairways which needed cutting as the strands of grass showed this hadn't been done recently. Bare patches that haven't been repaired. Greens needed cutting. Bunkers needed raking.

Solid round but too many duffed chip shots meant my score was not as low as it could and should have been.

Good Municipal

Good test of golf for the mid to high handicapper with some interesting holes. The greens were suffering a bit. Not sure if it was deceased or just the result of the long hot summer.

Really frustrating when we tee off at crack of dawn as the green keepers seem to start their green mowing at te same time as 1st tee off - which has resulted in hold ups from Hole 1 through to about hole 7 - surely they could start half hour before 1st tee off time ?

Really nice golf club. Had a lovely breakfast served by helpful, friendly staff. Very nice practice areas for pitching, putting and driving. The course itself is in very good condition with some beautiful backdrops. The course is quite challenging though and I?d imagine the last 2 holes would be quite hard work for anyone over seventy as it is very hilly there. We were a group of eight and every single one of us enjoyed the course. The green fees are very reasonable too!

Home Course

We use Dibden as the main "home" course for our small society. It has good variety and is great value for money.

I play a variety of courses in my area and two or three of them have suffered from disease on the greens and unfortunately this was the case here. The green keepers are treating patches of greens that have died and this left the putting surface a bit on the bumpy side. Nice layout and friendly staff.
