Bargain Course
After all the recent bad weather this course was well set up and played excellently.(Round played: Mar 2018 - Score: 99 Handicap: 28.4)

Perfect for beginners.
Overall the course is perfect for budding golfers to start out. The grounds are relatively easy to navigate once you've got your bearings, although hole signage could be improved. The staff are always friendly and the members are always helpful, patient and kind.The grass is cut regularly and to a decent standard.

quirky little course well worth a visit
2nd time ive played there, played the main course out of three both times. Testing inland links course with some interesting and some times difficult holes.Only £7.00 pounds a day so greens not tip top condition though everything else is and well worth the money.There is also a small driving range.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely play there again

Course was playing fast fairways were short and running long wins was up and carrying the ball a long way

We have a boys' trip every year to this venue. Great place to stay and play, just keep your expectation levels under control and you won't be disappointed. Fair course, plenty of room if you wander off line. Greens could be better, but at this price I'm not complaining. Will be back next year.

Live locally in Lincoln, play Millfield regularly now after discovering it a couple of months back. Perfect for beginners (due to cost (£2 for the 9 hole course, £4 for the second 18 and £6 for the main 18), how quiet the courses are every time i have been and the relaxed nature of the complex as a whole) but also suitable for more serious players due to challenging holes and layout.
Course very pleasant to look at and all in about 7/10 condition. Lots of courses locally in better condition but none for the same value for money. Every time my playing partner and I go we comment that with only £100 or so investment on the whole course for some better tee markers or a little map on the back of the scorecard the playing experience would be worth £15-a-pop for sure! This is negated somewhat though as once you have been around the course once and know where you are going (or take a picture of the map of the course in the clubhouse) your enjoyment will go up massively.
Agree with other reviews that the lady in the clubhouse needs to be replaced but i only see her for about a minute when i pay so doesn't take away from the golf at all really.
In summary; Unbelievable value for money, good course that is accessible, challenging and set in very nice looking countryside and woodlands. Will be continuing to visit regularly.

You get what you pay for. The course was not in the best of condition and some of the staff leave a bit to be desired but the accommodation and the price cannot be argued with. Would certainly recommend for a cheap, good value golf break. Will be going back next year

£8 for 18 holes of golf is not something to be sniffed at, but you get what you pay for. Greens are ok at best, most fairways are very light rough but for £8 you can easily foregt all that. The course is not long and not particularly challenging but it does make you think on some holes.
Very good value for money but could do with more up keep.
