Millfield
This is a course that should only be played in winter when it's wet and you then have the slim chance of being able to hold the ball on the greens which are poor... The tee boxes are bare and uneven. The bunkers have no sand at all.. We only play there on our society fundy as its cheap and local. We play there in winter as its the same as spending ?5 at the range.Reviewer Rating

We only played the 9 hole par 3 course. Has the potential to be a nice par 3 course but needs the greens sorting and tee boxes. Good for practising your approach play.

You get what you pay for...
A cheap price for a poor course. Don't expect a well maintained course for £7 a round. The greens are rough, the bunkers are solid and the course run down.Reviewer Rating

Quirky course

Played here on and off for years as its local and always open,course is very dry compared to other local courses which are very wet. Tee boxes are in poor condition and the greens are not much better,the 2nd hole winter green is basically just a mud patch with a large hole in it with a flag...But its cheaper playing here than going to the local golf range...If money was spent on the course it could be very good as the basic layout is good with some difficult holes.

Been playing on and off for 20 years or so,its ten minutes from my house and £6 a round,so its not going to be very clever,but it has improved over the last few months,greens are softer and the ball does more often than not stop when you hit the green,tee boxes are poor though with uneven stance and no grass on many,but for the price its betting than going to the driving range.

we played here today 7/7/15 although the green fees are really good the actually course was almost impossible to follow as there were no markers for teeing off and we found this quite anoying on this course although the main course is very good and we will defenitely play there again .......

Millfield Golf Club is a very good course for beginners, some very good and testing par 3s, also some testing greens good course for your short game.

Played on Sat 16th June 2012, A 3 ball, first impression was the rudeness of the lady who took our green fees, the first 4 or 5 greens cannot be called that, no signs on the tees for yardage or directions to the next tee as they are hidden behind rows of trees.
A little effort to improve the tees, greens and bunkers would make this course more enjoyable.
