Got potential
I know 2 members so get invited most weeks. This course has the ability to become a real gem but it's extremely tatty round the edges. Can be very wet & muddy the Cart paths are dreadful & not suitable for wheeling a normal trolley down them shame really as it would cut footfall on fairways when wet. Layout I find excellent good drive gives you mid iron into number of holes par 5,s reachable in 2 for big hitters par 3,s two quite challenging one with water in front can be card wrecker. With a lot more investment in greens, sprinkler system & serious drainage work then it would become a real gemReviewer Rating

Not the best.....
Revisited after not playing for circa 20 years. The course has matured but overall was disappointed. Not in good condition and quite uninspiring.Reviewer Rating

First time back for 15 years!
Played here today for the first time in fifteen years. It is quite different visually with the trees maturing and a lot of mounds improving the aesthetics of the place. The staff were great from the friendly chap taking phone bookings to the lovely lady that takes the green fees. The course itself and aspects of play I was less impressed with. Other than the second the holes aren't especially memorable. The group in front was a little slow being a four ball of old timers but nothing unreasonable. The group behind were much worse in that they were rushing up behind constantly, making sure we knew they were waiting by standing to the side of the tee box in your eyeline even though no one was behind them. Made for a less enjoyable experience.
See you in 15 years Mersey Valley!

The course is improving after major work. It will be nice when its settled and all the crap is tidied away. Paths are poor at the back of the course.
