Getting better
Course is drying out now after the abysmally wet winter. Wettest on the holes around the clubhouse (1st, 9th & 18th) Some of the rough on these holes is still a little boggy, I suppose that's expected on such a flat layout however keep the ball relatively straight and you won't have that problem. Rest of the course is great and some improvements to the course are still being made. Recommended.

The course continues to develop and improve. The greens are in great condition.
(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 96 Handicap: 21.9)

The green have previously been hollow tined but the holes haven't been fill in which leaves the greens very bumpy and very difficult to have any confidence on the greens. As other contributors have stated there are some significant works being undertaken at present.
It's a shame really because the shop and bar staff are very friendly. I will not be visiting this course again as there are far far better courses around the area.

(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 87 Handicap: 19.9)

Disappointed
Played on 23/3/19 told we were on winter greens on the 9th 10th and 11th teed of on the 9th to be told by club members that 9 10 and 11 were out of play. Got charged 17.00 pounds to play 15 holes the lady on the desk knocked 1 pound off normal fee very disappointed will not be back for a long while.

Worth a visit
Worth a visit though the course management may consider changing the 9th and the 18th round then players a re not walking through each other(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 99 Handicap: )

I have to be 100% honest, the greens were very poor, very patchy & bobbly, which is disappointing as they let down what could be a lovely little course.
(Round played: May-2018 - Score: 97 Handicap: 13.7)

Awful Course
Said it has excellent drainage. Not true.Winter Greens are hioles on fairways.
(Round played: Dec 2017 - Score: 88 Handicap: 26.8)

Give it amiss
Place is to bogged if it has been raining for get it go some where else.

First time back for 15 years!
Played here today for the first time in fifteen years. It is quite different visually with the trees maturing and a lot of mounds improving the aesthetics of the place. The staff were great from the friendly chap taking phone bookings to the lovely lady that takes the green fees. The course itself and aspects of play I was less impressed with. Other than the second the holes aren't especially memorable. The group in front was a little slow being a four ball of old timers but nothing unreasonable. The group behind were much worse in that they were rushing up behind constantly, making sure we knew they were waiting by standing to the side of the tee box in your eyeline even though no one was behind them. Made for a less enjoyable experience.
See you in 15 years Mersey Valley!

Nice Course
Fairways are in superb condition as are the greens. Lot of work been done adding mounds to what used to be a very flat course. Bunkers could have done with more sand but otherwise a really enjoyable round

brilliant course
the course was in very good condition especially the fair ways, would recommend playing here as it is great value for money.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 105 Handicap: 28)

(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 94 Handicap: )

Will be in great condition as better weather comes in.
(Round played: Feb 2017 - Score: 88 Handicap: 13.1)
