The course itself was in very nice condition & although running a little slowly, the greens were in very nice condition & ran true. In common with other courses in the area, the rough is unnecessarily thick therefore lost balls are pretty much guaranteed & this contributes to the slow pace of play.
Despite the above, I would still recommend this course & will soon return to try & better the 32 points that I managed on this visit.

Group Visit to Meon Valley
The course was played over two days one in torrential rain and one on a sunny day.Being in August the greens had been hollow tined so they played a little slow.
However, great course with water hazards ditches and a testing 445 yard par four on the 16th.
Everyone commented on a great course which played well over two days of changeable weather.
Would like to play again earlier in the summer.

OK condition
Found the course to be in need of attention and clearly this may be down to the very wet weather recently. There are lots of trees on the course and this will not have helped with drying out.Overall we enjoyed the course but generally the grass was far too long off the fairways. Bunkers clearly wet and hard. Greens ok. Some tee boxes were in poor condition.
We did a fourball twilight round at a good price and would not have wanted to pay much more.
Would like to play again but later in year to see the course condition when the greenkeepers have had time to do more work on the course.

Lovely course
Played the full 18 hole for the first time. Lovely course, wide, tree lined fairways, seldom see golfers on neighbouring fairways as so well laid out, mainly flat, portaloo on the 12th kept in ok condition. Some tricky holes with water and well placed bunkers. Most holes are a dog leg, one or two it’s impossible to see where your ball lands. Only issue is that the golf restaurant didn’t open until 10, that’s late for us early golfers that like a coffee and bacon roll before we start.Reviewer Rating

Society away w/end
3 days of golf. Two courses. Championship 18 hole and Valley 9 hole. Course and golf staff excellent. Championship course in great condition and great layout. Some challenging holes. Valley course much better than expected and a bit tighter than championship. Tee boxes a bit tired! Greens good. Hotel needs a good seeing to! Rooms ok but lack of staff very problematic. Very busy weekend but 1 bar/restaurant and 2 staff.Reviewer Rating

Good Course
Very nice Course in good shape tooGreens superb although tee boxes could be levelled out a bit better
Nice day out and will definitely recommend
Hotel service and good disappointing though… few of us picked up a degree of food poisoning after a mediocre dinner
Staff could not be bothered to serve sandwiches or lunch before our round on Saturday and no halfway house open either. Not great

Nice course but.......
Actually this is a very good track. Lots of interest, but you definitely need to know your way round to score well. Loads of, possibly too many, doglegs in either direction. Really good greens.Shame the (newish) hotel owners (Britannia Group) don't seem to want their guests to enjoy themselves. Poor service, overpriced food, absentee management and a general lack of attentiveness.

Good course worth a visit.
Even though Britannia have taken over the hotel. The golf course is still kept in excellent nick. Both the manor and valley course are very good. Sadly the hotel is in poor nick compared to when it was owned by Marriott.Reviewer Rating

No problems with the golf course BUT...Not a pleasant experience once off the course.
No food before 5 pm
Food was plain
People kept waiting until after midnight for their booked rooms as 'still being cleaned'
Poor staff attitude

Our group of 14 had a good deal mid Sept 20 for £69 for 2 rounds, dinner, bed & breakfast. Very nice course - although difficult. Some memorable holes. Bar with plenty of outside seating by the 18th green. Large, pleasant hotel rooms. The food we had was good. All in all an enjoyable couple of days.Reviewer Rating

Pleasant Golf, Awful Hotel
The course was enjoyable with some precision shots needed. However the Hotel was dreadful, the bar did not open until 6pm and you could not get any drinks at all before then. The pool is also closed and the pro shop also closes at 5pm so you can't even get a drink from there. The staff were few and far between. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
