I have played this course several times as a none member and it never lets me down, the first time was with a buggy, but not really essential. The greens are very testing and the fairways as with any golf course are sometimes the winners. The staff in the club house/hotel are very welcoming and Sue in the halfway house could not be more helpful. I dont play here every week and the membership fees are a little out of my range but this does not put me off returning. Return visit pending!!

Played this course for the first time last week. Absolutely fantastic course. We were very lucky with the weather (no wind or rain!!). Thank goodness for the complimentary buggie ride to the first tee. Played at 2.45pm for £17.50 so very good value. Don't be put off by all previous comments from golfers who say you must have a buggy. We are ladies in our 60s who use electric trolleys (we like the exercise and I feel walking gives you time to appreciate the wonderful scenery so much more). The 14th really is in a wonderful setting but every hole is enjoyable. Well worth a visit. We will definitely be back.

Excellent course, stunning back 9! Agree with the other reviewers though that buggies are a must - particularly to get to the first tee!
Thoroughly recommended, the course should be on anyone's "to play" list.

sublime course, some fantastic holes to match the sensational scenary!! although the weather was a factor today, me and my 3 playing partners all agreed it was the best golfing experience we'd ever had! i particular enjoyed slamming the par 4 17th 2 foot away from the hole and making a simple eagle! buggies are worth their weight in gold on this course!

Excellant course, a bit hilly, so a buggy helps. The staff in shop are brilliant. Had a great time.

Really good course - though our golf really spoilt by the atrocious weather - very strong winds on day 1 and heavy rain on day 2. Some stunning views - viaduct hole (14) particularly good. Golf shop staff really helpful.

This is the course that I first played a proper game of golf, and the reason i fell in love with the game! This course is absolutely cracking to play, not easy by any means, but has some very imaginitive holes to play. Well worth the visit, freindly club with excellent facilities. I truly feel like a proper golfer every time i visit - even though im just starting and I am yet to put a dent in my 28 hcp!

I've now played this beautiful course twice and on both occasions I managed to get excellent deals so don't be put off by the normal $55 a round green fee as you can usually get a great deal on a four ball and it's better to play this one with friends. To call the greens challenging is an understatement but they're fair and a short spell on the practice green before my second go this course was a big help. Great views throughout and a couple of stunning holes far outway the number of balls you'll lose if you stray from the fairways. Definitely one to hire a buggy for as the course is long enough without a couple of longish jaunts between green and tee. Then again my next rounds is already booked and this time I'm on foot so I may change my view on this, but I'll definitely be taking advantage of the complimentary free lift to the first tee.
Great course and definitely worth a visit.

Bring your crampons to get up to the first tee!!!

This course feels like it's on the side of a mountain and the when the wind blows will play like an inlands links. Don't miss the fairway as the first cut is very unforgiving and ball deep. Hit the heavy rough and you're unlikely to find it. Quite well laid out for a corporate venue and not too heavily weighted in favour of the big hitter. It didn't feel like a corporate venue and that was a positive for me.

Don't carry your clubs and if you aren't in reasonable health, take a buggy!

Excellent course tee to green all 18. Long, punishing narrow fairways, with lots of semi rough. Some excellent feature holes. A real test.
