Hilly course , need a buggy if you are not great at walking , practice green is a lot faster than greens on the course.

First impressions - staff very friendly but coffee overpriced at £3.20 a cup and forget the sausage muffin - poor. buggy service to 1st tee was not running so serious climb required. Course is a good layout, greens hard, fast with more than enough slope (made me look daft on more than one occasion). Beautiful vistas. It is exposed and and is seriously hilly so if you struggle with that either get a buggy (expensive) or play elsewhere. Its a mixture of golf and mountaineering. I'm not rushing back.

Course in good condition, can imagine it would get muddy further into winter though. Greens good & nice mix of interesting holes.

BUT they didn't have our booking (despite me having a confirmation email) and we then endured the longest 2 ball round of my life - nearly 5 hours!

Desperately needs a Marshall to ensure players are aware of what's expected with pace of play and to get them back on track when out of postion. They have a Marshall hut on the 10th tee so why not use it?

Second time played this course and just as enjoyable as the first. Good layout if a bit hilly. Need a lift up to the first tee from clubhouse by buggy. Greens had been spiked but still good roll and quite quick even though there was light rain. Some nice holes like par 4 14th with semi blind tee shot to left dogleg. Worth a go if not played before.

A little gem of a course. Well thought out layout,as each hole is different. Generous fairways in the main, for those of us who are a bit wayward off the tee, but with very tricky greens. Worth spending a little time on the practice putting green to prepare yourself - I missed my first putt on the final hole by 25ft! \We were a group of 12 on the one night + 2 rounds deal and the food was excellent. \\(Handicap 5, score 78 & 79)

An enjoyable round at Hollins. Bit of a slog at times, buggies recommend if you hack round (like we did). A few tricky pin positions, if you leave yourself wrong side of the greens be prepared for some impossible putts!

Love this course - mainly generous fairways but punished for wide shots. Greens in fantastic condition, though slopey and tricky as always. Bit stuck behind a slow 4-ball but otherwise really enjoyed.
Make sure you take the concierge buggy to the 1st tee!!
