Fantastic course!
Staff very helpful. Course beautiful (with lots of trouble!) venue superb. would definitely go back!

Fantastic facilities inside. Course was still a bit damp in places, but proved a good test all the same.
Food was fantastic and rooms very nice. leisure facilities in excellent condition.

The course unfortunately was a bit waterlogged in places but that was no fault of the ground staff. The course itself is an excellent if you want a good challenge. The hotel, food and facilities were of a very high standard

Hadn't played for 5 years. Course was in lovely condition with super smooth greens, very impressive for late October. Nice wide fairways for big hitters, second shots tend to be more challenging. Stayed overnight inc brekkie dinner and two rounds for £145, a bargain. Food was excellent in the Grill for the money, watch the extras though like most chains they charge silly prices for drinks and extras.

Booked a weekend break to treat my father for his birthday-website was doing a deal of 36 rounds of golf, evening meal, bed n breakfast for £111 per person. This is an excellent deal-but stay off the cocktails at twelve pound a pop it certainly doesnt help the cash flow. The first hole is a daunting hole to start off with, but this course wld suit anyone who is consistent in hitting a ball straight. This course demands a great deal of course management, and often if you think 'im going to go for it' you inevitably end up dropping a few shots. I would definately agree with James Matthews. The par 5 ninth is a corker of a hole with strategically placed bunkers that really do test if like myself you are unfortunate to land in them. Its a beautiful course and would recommend the facilities and staff and course highly to anyone

Very good venue - good golf course and cracking hotel. Par 5 9th is perhaps the pick of the bunch for the holes and introduces a very good back 9.

Great Weekend Getaway
The course to me never matched the grandeur of the hotel and clubhouse but it seems like the are addressing that now and the course is beginning to look more in keeping with the expectations you conjure up as you drive in.I was particularly impressed with the greens however I did not played my best I never seems to at this venue but none the less I enjoyed my round and the company that i was with.

Excellent welcome from the pro shop team, great bar and food facilities above on the terrace at Vardons. Course set up in great condition but two very different nine?s, the front much more spaced out with a more American links feel, whilst the back 9 is more traditional parkland with lush fairways compared to the harder and faster ones on the front. Good variety in the holes with plenty to think about and many of the greens with multiple tiers. Perfect venue for two rounds one night stay, hotels facilities and food all of a really good standard, would look to visit again.
