steeply uphill and downhill

Very odd course . It is basically located on a hillside so virtually every hole is either steeply uphill or downhill with hideous cambers so a good shot can hit the fairway and then fall dramatically away. Obviously, it helps if you have knowledge of the course and know where you need to aim. There are a couple of holes where you have to hit over the vehicular access so you have to be very careful not to hit a car, Overall, for the effort of playing it, there are many better courses. Also toilet facilities on the course are very poor,

Fantastic course

Great venue, lovely course and very dry considering the recent rain. Greens ran true and quite unforgiving around the holes. Would definitely play it again.

I love playing golf at this course because it's close to my home and the countryside is really beautiful. The greens and fairways are always in great condition, and there's a good variety of challenges on the course. It's always a pleasure to play here.

the course was in good condition for this time of year. The members at the course are awful. Unfriendly to say the least. Morley Hayes and Horsley Lodge a far better and less than a mile away from this place.

I played the moorland course in the summer twice. A great challenge, fantastic views and greens in great nick. Nice challenging layout and some good holes where you can feed a bump and run down in to the green. Will return to play the Priory course. A beautiful course with old stone walls and a great club house at the end.

Very Welcoming Course

Fantastic Course with friendly members, who were very willing to help a visitor enjoy the course giving guidance on hazards and best lines over blind crests, of which there were a few!
very enjoyable golf, the hotel facilities and food were also very good.

Played the Championship Priory course as part of a society even on a Sunday afternoon. Course was in excellent condition with the greens especially good. The recent wetter weather had made them more receptive, but they were very well kept and ran true. The course was pretty hilly and there's a number of doglegs. This all created a course with variety and interest and a good challenge without being overly difficult. Will definitely be back to play again.

Very difficult terrain in places , variable bounce and slopes to contend with. A few tricky greens too . Very pleasant sat on terrace afterwards for a drink.

Looks open

The course is billed as the easier of the 2 and it certainly looks open though this is misleading as the deep rough is very deep.

Played here because of the condition of the Moorland course which drains very well. Buggies available but at a cost of £35 for visitors a bit over the top.
Confusion in pro's shop over cost of a round, thankfully when pointed out Golf Now were charging £5 less for visitors after 12.00pm.

Challenging course

Played last week, happy with 107 playing off a 32 handicap. Only played 9 holes though as the 3 groups I was holding up behind was getting abusive.
