Played here many times before and this was probably the best i have ever seen it. Greens were great.

Course is very challenging when the weather is windy, but a lovely course to play with great views on a sunny day.

Very interesting course in good condition. Lots of hills and slopes making judgement of distance key. Greens in good condition. Friendly members. Well worth a visit.

Great challenge. No flat lies and hitting the fairways does pay off. Great views of the area from this down land course!

NO=ONE THERE! so impossible to rate facilities anything but poor as were not open.

Played Lewes again On Sunday 6th April and it is still in great condition. After reading the review below about not being able to find your way around the course it was nice to see these comments had been considered and there is nice new signage pointing you to the next tee. The course is a great challenge of golf and we really enjoyed it. Tea and the caterers fresh homemade cheese scones topped off the day

Played Lewes today and really impressed by the quality of the playing surface given the recent persistent rain. No temporary greens or tees. No ban on trolleys which was good as Lewes is a little up and down, just like the beautiful South Downs it sits on. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful so will certainly be visiting again....especially while the weather is like this!

What a great place to play in this wet weather when all other courses I tried were either closed or restricted, the course has no temporary greens or tees, the views are too die for and the staff are very helpful. I will return to this lovely find up on the downs

Good course, friendly staff! Very good! If you play this course on a windy day, be prepared, both with choice of clothing and club selection.

The climb up the single lane road to Lewes GC is one that's well worth taking, because at the top is a golf course with some of the best views in the country. In my humble opinion anyway.
The course itself is worth playing on its own merits however, although be prepared for a fair amount of climbing uphill. The fairways are generally fairly generous, but when the wind blows I imagine that you will be grateful for that.
The clubhouse was very warm and welcoming, and we were especially thankful for the woman behind the bar who made us sandwiches, even though food wouldn't normally be served at the time we arrived back. Highly recommended!
