The course is all over the place, it does not flow well at all. If you were playing for the first time I wonder if you'd ever work it out. I was playing with 2 players who knew the course, so was lucky. it was a shame because the course was in good condition, it was just too much of a mish mash.

Hard course in walking terms - we play Hollingbury, Seaford Head, Hill Barn and West Hove and this is toughest
One of the more expensive in the area - no seniors discount - double the cost of Seaford Head and Hollingbury but not double the quality

For all the rain in good nick
Quick true greens, fairways defined, Bunker not many but well maintained. Only issue for me were the tees. A bit bumpy but definitely prefer them to winter tees. The wind played its part. Storng at times and chilly. Can se why the trees bend the wsy they do.Reviewer Rating

Pleasure to come back here.
Forgot how up and down this course is and how it affects the choice of club selection. In very good condition. One critism is the greens were very tricky to stop the ball on.Reviewer Rating

Wow
Superb course. For the weather we have had recently this is playing pure. Greens, fairways and teeboxes are immaculate. Be prepared for the wind, it wasnt a windy day but being so high up means there is always wind. Not a long course but one you need knowledge of, will definitely be back.Reviewer Rating

Worth a visit - one of the best around
Excellent course, a little bit of a strange layout which might put me off playing on a busy day as a lot of crisscrossing. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Course in immaculate condition despite the rain on the day and week before. Would play again in a mid-week or off peak time. One of the best courses around with stunning views!Reviewer Rating

Lovely views, tough course first time
Classic links golf; strong winds as one is very high on the South Downs. Course felt good throughout; greens were true and neither quick nor slow. A couple of blind shots but nothing to stop one playing. I loved it - would like to play here again. Wouldn't fancy it in bad weather as very exposed.Reviewer Rating

Full of character
It's not for the beginner. It's views are amazing and the course is full of character, some real challenging holes, the 18th being one of many.Highly recommend playing it if you haven't played there before.
Greens in good condition but tees were in a bad state.

Awesome
This is a great course, with some of the best views in England. The greens are great, a real challenge. It's not the longest course, but is a test, with sloping fairways.Reviewer Rating

Nicely tuck away above Lewes
Interesting layout above Lewes. Not the easiest to find or arrive at. Very warm welcome from pro and very informative. Course itself as this was my first visit difficult to gage. The greens were fast and undulating and in very good condition. The tees were well rotated and seeding provided at all par 3's. As there are plenty of public footpath need to be vigilent of walkers coming around the corner. Fairways not the best but considering the chalk features not too bad. A bit scraped up in places. Will definitely play again...oh and not for the feint hearted. Plenty of slopes and borrows to deal with.Reviewer Rating
