Played the October 2016 winter series, course for October was excellent, greens still had the end of season spiker marks etc but putted OK - really well set out course, with a solid driver on most holes important !!

The greens at the Leicestershire are in superb condition and are the best any of our group had played anywhere this year. An interesting parkland course with many trees, so it definitely pays to keep it on the fairway.

If you enjoy playing on a course that's well looked after in all weather conditions then this is the place to play. A challenging course with immaculate greens. Excellent facilities and a welcoming clubhouse. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

I have been a member at The Leicestershire for around 35 years, so with so many other courses around I must rate it highly - which I do!
The course is always in excellent order, particularly the greens, which are superbly smooth and in play virtually all the year round - if they are not, you can bet that we have had a long spell of terrible weather. No par 5s, but I challenge most of you to get up in 2 on at least 3 of the holes.
Good Clubhouse, very friendly long serving staff, excellent food and facilities.
If you are the type who just plays, and leaves, you are missing something.

Played on Sat, Aug 30, through the James Braid association. Good shop, very friendly staff and an excellent clubhouse. The course itself was in excellent condition with some really interesting holes, long sweeping dog legs to narrowish tree-lined fairways. One or two interesting lay-ups or risk and reward approaches. My wife and I both play off 19 and found it a good test without being over difficult - 36 points/33 points in her favour. Very enjoyable

Played here for the first time ever. The course was in fantastic condition and the greens were immaculate (and very speedy on the down hill putts indeed). Unfortunately i didnt get time to use the club facilities due to rushing back home for the start of the ryder cup (so Im sure you can all forgive me for that !! :-) also that is the only reason I have given it a good rating as I cannot really rate it).
The course has no par 5s but some very long par 4s - theres a monster 199yard par 3 as well.
Bunkers were in fab condition as well.
Overall Im really considering joing here .....

Great course and a good challenge despite no par 5 holes. It was in excellent condition when payed in September. Quirky club house!

This course hosted the Midland Boys EGU Qualifying competition yesterday which saw 60 of the region’s most talented golfers taking part.
The course was presented in excellent condition. The greens were immaculate - fast and true but receptive to a well struck iron.
It is a little unusual in so much as it does not have any par 5's but a 6200+ yard course with a par of 68 and SSS of 71 is never going to be easy. A number of long and challenging par 4 holes ensures that this course is an excellent test of golf even for elite golfers.
The course offers excellent practice facilities and a friendly clubhouse with a menu offering good food at a reasonable price.
If I lived in the Leicester area I would have no hesitation in joining this club. One of the very few courses I have added to my 'must visit again' list.
