Golf Course Reviews for Leicestershire Golf Club
(Round played: Mar 2017 - Score: 86 Handicap: 0)
(Round played: Sep 2016 - Score: 124 Handicap ( very good course, very good dress code and the pro is very friendly
The course is always in excellent order, particularly the greens, which are superbly smooth and in play virtually all the year round - if they are not, you can bet that we have had a long spell of terrible weather. No par 5s, but I challenge most of you to get up in 2 on at least 3 of the holes.
Good Clubhouse, very friendly long serving staff, excellent food and facilities.
If you are the type who just plays, and leaves, you are missing something.
Highly recommended. John C

The course was presented in excellent condition. The greens were immaculate - fast and true but receptive to a well struck iron.
It is a little unusual in so much as it does not have any par 5's but a 6200+ yard course with a par of 68 and SSS of 71 is never going to be easy. A number of long and challenging par 4 holes ensures that this course is an excellent test of golf even for elite golfers.
The course offers excellent practice facilities and a friendly clubhouse with a menu offering good food at a reasonable price.
If I lived in the Leicester area I would have no hesitation in joining this club. One of the very few courses I have added to my 'must visit again' list.

The LeicestershireStunning, mature course. Lovely set up and stunning, quick greens. Great challenge, some of the holes really make you think your way around.

Very well run winter series @ £30Tough winter test, can get wet in places and don't talk to me about leafs and lost balls just of the fairways :-(
£30 inc bacon cob and coffee and £500 top prize, greens in great shape and ironed in November :-) not a bad roll all day. 18th was like crazy golf 15ft putt and managed to de green it lol.
36pts won the day shows how tough this course is with no par 5s

Very good condition, reasonable courseCourse very well maintained and reasonably interesting. Worth playing at the member's guest rate. We played on weekday evening and had pretty much clear run at the course

Accuracy the key!Played the Leicestershire as part of a society. Greeted by the staff who were all courteous in providing food and coffee. The club professional gave us the low down on the 'dos' and don'ts. The course itself was in great condition, with the greens all running true and fast. The fairways were in good condition, word of warning the 1st cut is thick and slightly longer than you expect hence the accuracy is needed off the tee. No par 5's but some excellent challenging par 4's. The only negative would be there was a lack of sand in some of the bunkers. Thoroughly enjoyable - society rate ?35 incl food - normally ?50 per visitor - unfortunately not a course i will rush back too - cant really think of a memorable hole.
Played in a society event for the 1st time; course in good condition. surprised no course available for sale may have got a few tips, all in all a good days golf
