Unfriendly and unprofessional

We had booked online £25 each for a round. We go into the club shop, the guy behind the counter has absolutely no interest in us. He carries on working. He then shouts over, only 11 holes open and you can’t play on the fairways, give me a tenner each. Let me get something straight. Leasowe you should have contacted us and told us the situation. That way we wouldn’t have travelled in the first place. Unprofessional to say the least. Also you keep sending me emails with regards to your so called amazing winter membership offer. Are yous having a laugh? Your simply enticing people into a winter membership knowing fine well they will never get a decent round of golf. Shame on you leasowe

Great value

A solid golf course. There are quite a few interesting features such as castle walls that add to the experience. The 4th (Seawall) is a great hole playing back to the castle. The greens are excellent. They don’t have a lot of break so take this into account when putting. Back 9 seems a bit easier. Great value for £30. Friendly welcome from the pro shop.

This review would've been so different 6 months ago. I joined in winter 2020 and have been advised that a levy year on year is being imposed on members but new members are getting a 10% discount. Decided not to renew. Course has seemingly gone from being playable in winter to closed as much as it is open or at least severely restricted, if you are playing in a one off game then go for it, decent course without being earth shattering. First few holes are interesting. 4th used to be so much better but changes made to protect the safety of walkers. This could be so much more if they listened more and weren't so set in their ways. Potential to be excellent rather than just quite good. Greens are superb in the summer months. I would recommend for value and if you are in the area. Not to travel any distance to play it especially. I would play again but I certainly wouldn't join again.

Winter golf spot on for the price

I wasn’t expecting much with all the rain we have had locally and my course being closed for the last 21days. However, I walked of Leasowe without an ounce of dirty on my pants. The greens where excellent the fairways where clean and dry. This place is definitely a course on the up. Also for reference the prices have changed I paid £25 on Saturday at 12noon. After the round we went upstairs to eat and the franchised the catering and bar out to a local gem called “The Green Hut” craft ale behind the bar and fish & chips ???????? Boss day!!

Links in the howling wind

I wouldn't have had it any other way. Links is a different ball game altogether and I knew I would have to change my approach if I was to enjoy this round. I think I only used my driver twice, choosing to use irons off the tee is not my style, but it certainly helped. The course has some interesting challenges, be reckless on a links course and you will be frowning by the ninth. The course is nicely laid out, although the 10th caught me out and I ended up playing the 17th before going back to the tee. Greens were awesome, green-keepers do a great job and it was an enjoyable round.

Amazing Course and very Friendly. Awful Changing Rooms

What a truly fantastic course. First nine holes as good as neighbour Wallasey and paid 1/4 of the price. Back 9 certainly don't disappoint either. Greens were superb and a good balance between true links holes, parkland and even nice water hazards. This is one of the best courses I have played and by far the best value. Amazing views from club house of sea, liverpool and beyond. Only negative is a course of this standard needs better changing facilities. Toilet and shower great but locker room needs complete re - fit. Andy the Pro was very friendly. 3rd best course on Golf Coastbehind the Royal and Wallasey. Played Bromborough, Caldy and Heswall recently and Leasowe is much better.

the first four or five holes are excellent but after that the course gets a little boring.
there is one hole in particular where you have to hit over a quad bike centre on your tee shot. its very dangerous and I'm surprised no one has been injured. its only a matter of time and something the club must address immediately.

have not played this course for over 4 years, but very impressed with the changes more bunkers around and some are quite deep, keep on the fairway and you will enjoy it here, but the wayward shot will find the gorse, the greens are right up there with the best i have played, members and bar staff very friendly, all adds up to a good days play look forward to going back

At last

Final playing on a dry course after the awful weather in the north west. Scorecard makes this look like an easy course but with the wind it’s anything but. Course was in great condition, greens ran really true, we all thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back in summer when it will undoubtedly play much firmer and fast

Lovely little links course. Called the pro and asked if we could get on Xmas eve and he said he could squeeze in 2 visitors. We played the winter course in 45 mph winds but it was great fun. If you like fun, quirky golf and value a friendly welcome it’s for you!
