What the club says: An 18 hole links course built on well draining sand stretching along the north coast of the Wirral peninsula.
Tight fairways with intimidating out of bounds are a feature of the course; this coupled with the greens rated among the best in the area, makes Leasowe a good test of golf for players of all abilities without being too physically demanding.

At last
Final playing on a dry course after the awful weather in the north west. Scorecard makes this look like an easy course but with the wind it’s anything but. Course was in great condition, greens ran really true, we all thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back in summer when it will undoubtedly play much firmer and fastReviewer Rating

Lovely little links course. Called the pro and asked if we could get on Xmas eve and he said he could squeeze in 2 visitors. We played the winter course in 45 mph winds but it was great fun. If you like fun, quirky golf and value a friendly welcome it’s for you!

Course in good condition considering the amount of rain we've had in the north west. Off temporary tees but summer greens which were in excellent condition.

SUPERB GREENS

Interesting course with good variety of holes. Course a little bare in some places but dry which was so good after our local courses are closed due to waterlogging.
Greens sanded but good. Weather was calm but I imagine a sea breeze would make it a very challenging test.

Protected tees and fariways

Excellent value for money
We played here early July 2022. The course is a very solid and enjoyable one and the greens were in impeccable condition. At £30 it represents superb value for money. The welcome from the pro was friendly and he gave us some great advice. In terms of holes it's always nice to start with a driveable par 4. The fourth hole was a great hole, playing back towards the castle wall. The fifth hole might benefit from a sign saying 'Just hit an iron!'
The course was quiet when we visited but I think some of the drives might feel a bit tight if there were a lot of other golfers around with you hitting over green etc. Also the hole in the very far corner, maybe #13 or #14 or something, with the water to the right of the green could have some of those fake birds of prey you have on some courses to stop the wildfowl spoiling the green and surrounding areas. Overall though a highly enjoyable day out and somewhere I'd definitely play againReviewer Rating
