I have always wanted to play Knebworth so I was really looking forward to this charity day, but I was a little dissapointed. The holes are a little "samey" at times but most frustratingly on one side of the course is the v busy railway line , on the other is the even more busy A1M and overhead the cacophony of noise was added to by the Luton Airport flight path!! Not exactly the tranquill round of golf I was hoping for!.
If you want to play on a course in excellent nick then Knebworth is for you, if you want a quiet walk in the countryside there are better places to go.

There are many mature trees and copses, and narrowish fairways making accuracy off the tee a premium.
The course doesn't benefit from great drainage and really comes into its own in Spring/Summer when it is usually in great condition and is a joy to play.
I have read comments about this being an easy walking course. However, the couse isn't flat and the walk up the 18th fairway can be tiring for some.
Well worth visiting outside of Winter.
