Classy golf club, very stress-free place to play golf
This is a club that exudes class from the moment you arrive yet there is no snobbery. You are made to feel very welcome before, during and after the round. The course has a bit of an American feel to it. It is classic course with a great collection of par 3 and par 5 holes. Some of the par 4 holes can feel a bit similar but the enjoyment of the course comes from knowing that you can be a bit loose at times off the tee but you will generally find and be able to hit your next shot. But there will be trees in your way. Bunkers have some of the best sand you will find in them but unfortunately the members seem unable to use rakes very well! The greens were a bit slow when I played but, given the severe slopes on the greens, I'm not sure you can cut them short or they could be unplayable. Great outdoor bar area right by the 18th green. Well worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

Lovely old course layout
Built in the 20's and is a pleasure to play here. Tree lined and quite tight at times. Shame about the Bunkers and the Greens. Bunkers look like the have sand but under the initial 1/2 inch hard as nails. Greens are towards the end of their recovery but quite bumpy. Need rolling. A Good test of keeping the ball straight. Mind you quite difficult to lose your ball...as none of us did!Reviewer Rating

Great course in luxurious setting
Played a two ball sunday afternoon round as visitors during a period of heavy storm. Friendly pro-shop and members, lovely practice green and nets to warm up, driving range also present.Course in fair condition considering weather. Greens ran medium and true, bunkers werre playable. Fairways ok and rough at a fair length.
Front nine of the course shut due to weather. Back a fair challenge with some interesting holes. Good pace of play.
Absolutely recommend playing here

A treat I'd some how forgotten about
Played Kingswood many tears ago and for some reason held a negative thought about it so hadn't returned - until very recently. I won't be leaving to so long again. Even though it's awful weather for golf courses this one has held up very well, and I was reminded what a clever and interesting course it is. Facilities improved beyond recognition. Can't wait to return.Reviewer Rating
