Played a few days after hurricane Katie, fairways in good shape a few that are like a boggy creek, could do with fairway range markers as we were unable to locate the ones bedded in the fairway.Apart from the issues above a nice flat course to easy you back into golf

The location, clubhouse and facilities are poor but once you cross the A406 the fairways and greens are in excellent condition with short but interesting holes.
We played midweek in a society and took the normal 4 hours. Well worth a visit score 84 Handicap 15

It is more than 30 years since I played the course but it won't be
anywhere near as long until I return. Although it suffers from
having the A406 running alongside it it proved to be in great
condition with the greens deserving particular praise. We met
up with the greenkeepers half way round. They seem very
motivated and keen to make the course as good as they can.
There doing a great job. Not the longest course but really
enjoyable.

This is a real gem of a course in inner London. Although it;s not the longest course and there aren't not too many very difficult holes, the course is kept in really great condition most of the year around (Only gets a little yellow after long periods of hot weather) Absolute bargain round for the price you pay and they have very friendly staff.

I think this is a great course for all levels of golfer, but especially for the 18 - 27 handicap golfers.

First time on the course, was very wet but greens played well. Very narrow and if busy then I could imagine a bit hairy as you are driving over other people's fairways.

Nice and cheap as only £10 midweek round, will come back again but when less wet.

Greens in very good nick and rest of the course not far behind. My playing partner called it a "little gem"!

Golfshake Team ReviewAs you turn up to this course you cant help but think what the hell you've let yourself in for. The Bar looks like a house on a row of a busy street. But dont let this fool you. There is parking round the back of a row of houses and the pro shop is in what looks like a little cabin, however is quite big and well stocked.

Even before you get to the course you have to go over a bridge and cross the A406 but what greets you the other side is like something from a different world.

Surrounded by the motorway and tall buildings you'll soon forget about whats around you and concentrate on what is a small, compact but wonderful test of golf.

Small greens, tight fairways lay ahead with short par 4's making you want to give it a bash but beware the bunkers and long rough, anything not straight will get punished.

The greens themselves are in great condition too. Seem to be well looked after.

In places it may be difficult to find your way around from green to tee and 2 or 3 holes have blind shots, either off the tee or onto the green, but id love to go back at some point and give it another crack.

All in all a good day out.

Its short, due to the lack of space, but it's very tight and the greens are small. A real challenge. It's a much harder course than the others in the area. Fairways and greens are in good nick. Good club house and pro shop. It could do with sprucing up here and there, but overall, very good.

Very interesting course which is in great condition at the moment. Several tricky holes with small greens, which can be difficult to hit. Very friendly clubhouse with great food and bar.

Tee's in good condition, Fairway's in good condition, Greens in excellent condition with fantastic run-off area's and most greens are very undulating or 2 tiered, definitely some off the best greens in Essex. There are a couple of things that might let this course down a little and they are the course is only 5300 yards long and there are a few tee's that cross over or are very close to each other, but dont let that put you off this is a great little course and even though its on the small side you have to hit the ball straight as some of the fairway's are tight with trees that are over 100ft high lining the fairway's,it also has a couple off very good par 3s at over 200 yards long, Give it try...!!!!

A thinking mans golf coarse where you can easily leave your woods in your bag and play with your irons,on a lot of holes you only have a short iron into the green after a straight drive thats the only negative about this coarse if you could find another 1000 yards from somewhere it would be one of the best coarses in the area as the greens and run of areas are in fantastic condition and the fairways are as well.We paid £20.00 on a Saturday for a four ball which was good value. The coarse gets busy and there are many tees close together we got to the first tee in time for our tee off and there were 4 four balls all waiting to tee off so we went straight onto the back nine.
