Played on 29th October. Beautiful course only spoilt by society club slow players - even the constant rain was better than the slow play. First 9 holes took almost 3 hours on Championship course, really needed marshall on course to speed things along, we failed to finish due to light and had a tee off time of 11:50!!. The Prince 9 hole course is also good to play

The course was in decent condition with the fairways having recovered from the recent hot weather.
The greens had recently been worked on so were bumpy and slow.
Clubhouse good.
Pro shop OK.
Nothing very special compared to other courses but a nice venue.

Some fairways very barren due to the very unusual British weather. The pin placement on some of the holes spoilt the round. Ie 3rd hole where it was on a slope and lightening fast. You can get punished for a good straight shot that runs into trouble. Very busy Sat, had to wait on every hole and took an unacceptable 5 hrs. You need to be aware of where all the tees are as balls can come flying at you from multiple directions.

First nine holes a good opening half but the back nine is considerably harder. The last three holes are quite 'draining'. The 10th through to the 14th are good tests involving water, tight fairways and greens. Overall a good course with something for everybody.

Surprisingly nice course with lovely holes around Hever's own Anen Corner. Only real let down was use of the winter tees throughout as it meant the course was not being played as it should be. Ground was little soft underfoot and the greens had recently seen some work so they were a little inconsistent. Oh and there was no food in the clubhouse as we came in after a cold uncompleted round. At this time of year I can understand having a reduced kitchen but nothing but crisps was but dissapointing. Looking forward to going back in the Spring and playing 11-13 as they were meant to be played.

Good golf club - Tees were a bit worn but overall a really nice course. Back 9 is very tough from 11-15 - some really tricky holes

Excellent course, challenging in parts, especially the monster 600+ (from the yellows) par 5 17th. Great condition, looking forward to playing again soon.

Long course, hard work when wet
I love this course, but after weeks of rain it was waterlogged. Standing water and mud featured on at least half a dozen holes. (Nothing the club can do about it.) Greens were still fast and true. Long course though, even off the yellows. Lots of staff at the evening dinner and at the bar. Good practice facilities. Definitely will play again.Reviewer Rating
