Great Course - well worth a visit
Greens in excellent condition, very difficult to read. Fairways very dry, not much grass on some, but some great holes to pl;ay(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 96 Handicap: 18.5)

Very dry....runs for miles and no grass
Greens were well maintained but fairways there was barely a piece of grass. Tee boxes ok. Course in need of rain...especially the fairways.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 99 Handicap: 14)

Badly burnt
Sadly Hever has suffered this summer and it's fairways have effectively disappeared. Although the ball runs forever, there?s no grass where it stops so nigh on impossible to get any spin on approach shots. Princes looked in slightly better condition.Reviewer Rating

interesting back nine, fairways very dry and preferred lies needed on a couple of the final holes but understandable given the dry summer we are having.

Played here on a society day. One of our groups were a little slow which caused some contenation amongst the members which was unfortuante but otherwise hospitality on the day was good. Course itself was in reasonable condition though some fairways were pretty dry. I'm assuming their not allowed to water them at the minute. Preferred lies were in operation as a result. Greens were fine and the course is always a good challange. Bacon roll to start was nice but no food after at present.

Brilliant Golf course & venue
Played here in 2015 & have wanted to come back for a long time. Finally played here again yesterday. Such a beautiful golf course. Some tricky holes but generally quite an open course. Few water Hazards though! Loved it & will be back again soonOnly negative we found was the bar staff were a bit rude pre round but post round they were very welcoming.

I'm very fond of this place, I played the Princes and it was a challenge. I wasn't the only person to struggle with the hole 6 water, even Tiger Woods would swerve it.

Great course but need to sort out drainage pdq
Considering the cost of the members fees, the drainage must be a priority in the coming year. Very wet underfoot and not very pleasant to play at.Reviewer Rating

Swamp like conditions
Our society played the Boleyn Course (Princes nine and the front nine holes of the Championship Course) and can only describe the course condition as unplayable, nearly every fairway shot was completely plugged, the tee boxes were terrible, just a horrible experience. The championship course was much better so not sure they can blame the weather? Would only play this course in the summer months. They should have warned our society about the poor conditions before taking our money or at least give the option of changing courses.Reviewer Rating

A very attractive golf course
The Ashdown Golf Society played on the main course last week. Considering the amount of rain that had fallen the course played very well. The greens were excellent. Always a pleasure to play at Hever, we will return.Reviewer Rating

Wonderful course, punishing if you are playing badly.
Course in great condition. Greens true but not fast - disconcertingly slow. Overall though a fantastic day out. Practice facilities are Ok rather than good. Food / Bar is good.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 113 Handicap: 25)
