Put Hazlemere on your bucket list

Step into the newly completed clubhouse to a very warm welcome. The course is a challenging up and down layout with some stunning views over the challenging holes. Lovely fairways, excellent greens and inviting bunkers. Hospitality in the clubhouse was as good as the course. Watching the Red Kites hovering above us was a bonus. The food was excellent. I will definitely go back to Hazlemere.

I played Hazlemere after a great offer on teeofftimes (£8) and it was worth a lot more. The course was in good shape. Greens quick enough and fairways in the main well presented. A couple of fairways had been left to grow a little but it is understandable at the end of summer. Plenty of blind tee shots and approaches make this course a good challenge and as it is very hilly, it is a good test for any golfer. (Round played: Oct 2014 - Score: 90 Handicap: 16)

I love this golf course! It plays 5500+ yards off the social tees and is just long enough to be challenging. The greens are in great shape and the course generally is in lovely nick. The views are gorgeous and really add value to the whole experience which is topped off by the staff who all went out of their way to make us feel welcome and actually gave the place a relaxed 5 star feel - just loved it

Hazlemere was such a great course to play. There are a few decent climbs to be had as you go round, but the views are pretty spectacular and there some gorgeous holes to be played. Oh, and the greens were like lightning.

You'll have to get used to sloping fairways too, starting off with the 1st which has a huge drop from tee. Make the most of it, because you'll be climbing back up the other way soon enough!

Great course, great clubhouse, friendly welcome. What more could you ask for?

Why wouldn't you play here? Top condition on my visit despite recent weather being awful. The staff went out of their way to make us welcome and add value to our day. Short in places but plenty of danger if you don't think shot selection through. Clever golfers will score well here, top place for a beer afterwards as well, gorgeous setting in the sun! In summary? Loved it!

Great venue, tricky course

Annual golf event, easy to organise with their excellent club staff, who fully co-operated on the day. Rain nearly caused a postponement but in the end it cleared a bit and play went ahead. Clubhouse has changed a lot under new owners, less traditional but more in keeping with modern day multi-use venue.

They?ll keep a welcome in the hillside

Played this course twice now, as a visitor, and it takes some thought.
The Chiltern Hills ? the clue is in the location, so don?t expect flat scenery or easy, wide open fairways.
There are a few blind holes, but that adds to the fun.
The greens were magnificent when we played on a gloriously sunny day in September, in the wake of a pro-am over the previous weekend. They were super smooth.
There are some beautiful views as you climb the hills, so be sure to take them all in.
Just make sure you pick the right piece of fairway to land on if you want to avoid seeing your ball roll off, away from your intended position.
Very nice bacon sarnie before our round, with friendly staff.
You can enjoy a post-round drink outside, taking in the magnificent vista.

Very dry fairways but greens were in very good conditions and true. Many elevations throughout the course meaning some steep climbs in places.
