Always a joy to playCourse in excellent condition. Pace of play was good for the first 15 holes, then it started to back up, due to some very slow players 3 or 4 groups ahead.
We did not stay for refreshments afterwards this time, but we usually stop for a pint in the terrace area.

Mr S, GilbeyDreadful. Greens were the worst Ive seen in 40 years playing golf. Slow play and nothing done despite complaining to the pro shop.We took nearly 5 hours following 2 groups of members.. Service afterwards was poor food was charged wrongly and didnt turn up on 3 occasions. Generally a poor experience. We wont be back.
A hidden gem
Poor greens and slow playNo trollies on the range before a round is not ideal.
90 minutes to play the first 8 holes (with some waiting on tees). The last 11 holes took two and a half hours. At times there were 3 groups waiting on the same tee. Pace of play was exceptionally slow, held up by a 2-ball using a buggy. No marshalls anywhere.
Greens were covered in pitch marks- fresh ones, plus others that had been repaired way too late, leaving the greens in poor condition. Also too many stones in bunkers, which then end up on the greens.
Thankfully I played with a member so it was a touch cheaper., but ?36 (I believe) is ridiculously expensive.
Lovely Course & FacilitiesThe course was in excellent condition, and having pleasant weather certainly helped and made the views from the higher points very picturesque.
It's quite challenging, physically, so a buggy is recommended.
The clubhouse has a good menu, with the breakfast panini being a solid pre-round choice. Unfortunately, due to the covid restrictions, the service was a little slow, but understandable in the circumstances and to be fair it was quite busy as would be expected on a Saturday.
Good course great set up.First visit excellent course some great challenging holes, you need to do some thinking on this course driver is not always needed here. The greens were very true and quite quick.

Excellent short courseReally excellent par 3 with lots of challenges to test you short game. The greens and fairways are well looked after and generally excellent for a public course.

Nice courseWorth a visit - greens in exceptional condition for time of year. Fairways not too bad as well. Despite some work being undertaken on the course worth playing

Hidden gemThis is a fantastic course which I really enjoyed.. interesting Kay out and magnificent vistas. Course was in really good shape, not perfect but very playable and enjoyable.
Speed of play was brilliant... well below 4hours for a three ball
I will definitely return as this is great value for money at £35 weekend green fee

Good challengeIn good nick, especially the greens.
mrWe played yesterday in a 4 ball for the first time on the main course. Overall we were highly impressed with the course and the greens which (considering it is a public course) were in super condition. The facilities were extremely clean and there was a general air of professionalism there. As seniors we paid £21 per head which was excellent value all-in-all. My round journey amounted to around 100 miles (M25 included!) but it was well worth the effort. Although we only saw one other group there (they were friendly) and, aside from a very friendly dog belonging to a jovial green keeper, we were left alone. We finished inside 4 hours. I would have no hesitation in recommending this golf club.
