Interesting and quite tightA good course not too long and not too short. Not easy to score well without intelligent play. Only one pro broke par in recent pro-am at one under par so no push over.

Varied parkland course with water hazards. Not that long but good course management needed to miss the ponds and drainage ditches. Recent extensive maintenance to ponds and hedges has opened up the course and means less time spent looking for errant shots. Good luck with 8, 9, 16 (3-ditches) 17 and 18!!
Would happily play again.
Greens have recently been redone and we're a little bit inconsistent.
(Round played: Apr 2016 - Score: 96 Handicap: 18.6)
There seems to be a good mix of holes here, with a number of short and long par 4's, and holes where you can open your shoulders as well as some where you have to be fairly accurate from the tee. There are a number that are very pleasant on the eye.
This has been a fairly dry summer so the fairways are a little on the burnt side, but the tees and especially the greens were in excellent condition.
The clubhouse is very nice, and they have a spike bar too. You may have to ask about the spike bar though because it seems to be very well hidden. I wouldn't even have known it existed if I hadn't been there with someone who'd been there before.
I paid £25 for the round, which I think was fairly reasonable, although the normal price is a little higher.
The course isn't exactly flat, but it's certainly not undulating enough to cause concern for most reasonably fit golfers.
